The rules only say that the AFL limit applies if the club doesn't field a development team, which I'm pretty sure means not actually having one, so he'll be eligible.

Yeah it means if they don't have a team at all. Clarry is eligible.

The website has listed the casey prelim as 2:40 Sunday since yesterday. Collingwood is on Saturday
So unless they move it (which would make sense)
Seems like they'll have to rush stuff having the development grand final before another game though
Although I've heard rumours they're moving the development to sandy

According to the website, dev is now on Sunday before VFL, don't know why they changed it.

Didn't realise Matt Petracca was at Montrose? He must've gone backwards, he just played in the divvy 4 flag (although I think Oscar or his brother played for Coldstream too)

Yep, only a couple of years at Montrose then went to mighty Upper Gully Kings for a year and now at FTG. Bit of a journeyman.

Still a big drop, surely he must be one of the leagues top players. We played a praccy match against the eastern lions a few years back, they only brought up 26 players, so they played 3 quarters against our ressies (and were up by 3 goals after that) and they played 3 against our seniors after a break. Ended up losing by 60 odd points. We have 3 blokes from montrose who would probably be 3 of our top 5.
