I think newton got knocked out in the first. still doesnt explain 2nd BOG though

That's the beauty of running under the flight of the ball and having jelly fingers - it translates to any level of football. He'd do well to chalk up 20 goals a season at U16 level.

if i recall Newton had a shut down role on Coburg best midfield which help win us the game

It's been a shit game to watch. Very contested, played mainly along the boundary. Would be nice to see someone use the corridor once in a while. Roosters slaughtered Scorps that quarter. They have some tough hombres running around.

Of the MFC listed guys, Fitz has been best. Probably BOG playing CHB at the moment. OMAC has been good. No-one else has stood out IMO. Harmes hasn't shown much. Doesn't look above the level anyway. JKH has done some clever things.
Crap game to watch though. Very stop start and hardly any clean passages of play.

Fitzpatrick plays like Kosi used to, doesn't protect himself at all. He will get badly hurt one day.
Terlich is still butchering the ball, but at least he plays the ball quickly.

Roosters too good for the Scorps. More mature bodies. Some of the Scorps kids look like the should be playing under 18s. Oscar Mac showed plenty. He will be a great player for the Dees but maybe 18 months away. He's still very thin. Fitz was Scorps best and JKH was good too.

I have thought about going to a Casey game one weekend, but we are fsat running out of MFC players to watch at that level.
