What really annoys me is that grimes does make mistakes but he is the only back who is always accountable for his man. Wherever his man is there he is. That game against the saints there was no accountability. I'm not saying he's best 22 but you just can't lose someone like that from a depth point of view.

Grimes was playing inside mid and White was playing in the backline.
Hawks won the clearances alot so the defenders got a fair bit of the ball

I keep forgetting about the Sandringham game since I was playing when it was on. Sorry yeah he was reasonable there but didn't capatilise. Something like 50% DE. From what I've been told he didn't set it on fire
Last night while he kicked 3 he still took a few stupid chances instead of doing the team thing. I think he'd need to fix up his discipline first. But who knows. Selections baffle me sometimes.

It's a bit hard to judge grimes based on being a defender at the moment since he's not playing as one.

Do you have whites DE on hand? He was shitting me when playing down the wing I was on. Kicked down the line to an intercept mark a few times in front of me

Also, someone needs to tell spencil that if you're going to convincingly win a tap, you should hit it to your team not the opposition

Didn't actual notice a lot of him (forgot he was playing completely)
Was a well fought out win. Was getting worried in the last. We couldn't convert and box hill seemed to have the run

This is a bit revisionist to be honest, Grimes hasn't always done that in recent years.

In the long run it's really important that he's exposed to decent defense set ups so he realises how hard he's going to have to work.

I didn't see the game sorry.

I'm not sure Grimes papers are stamped, I just think he's behind too many others at the moment. Particularly with the form of young players like Petracca, ANB, Oliver, Stretch, Harmes and Hunt.

Weideman doesn't have to play well every week, it's fine. He's already well ahead of where he should be. Sounds like conditions were tough too.

2nd week in a row Grimes has had 10 tackles, Consistently getting mid 20's possies a game and this week 35 must be pushing for selection.
