Seriously? He got bitten?

Those Sandy types are campaigners.
Yep, if you were watching on TV it was on the wing. Was standing about 2 metres behind where it happened, had to ask the missus to confirm I heard correctly because I thought "you ****ing dog campaigner, you bit me" must have been incorrect. She confirmed it, and said at quarter time they looked it over and could see clear teeth marks on his hand.

It was when he went mental and dropped a sandy player and a scuffle erupted

That is ****ed. If i was Oliver i would have knocked the dog out. Hope Casey make a formal complaint.

Yep, hope so too.

That little saunders dickhead got involved, and said to oliver "what are you gonna do? knock him out on field?", oliver just looked at him and said "yes".

Missus is watching the replay, and says you can clearly see oliver being bitten

I reckon the Sandy player is in deep shit if Oliver makes a complaint. It shouldn't take Oliver to do that for old mate to be done in, but I always thought biting was a HUGE no-no. Actually, just looked it up. Looks like it is only 2-3 weeks going off what the AFL came up with for Masten last year. Which makes me think that penalty is nowhere near enough. Surely biting is worth at least double that penalty?

Anyway I thought Casey were pretty good actually. I mean so we should be with the amount of AFL-listed players we have in that side, including 2 former captains of the Demons, a 165-game veteran and a 148-game veteran in defence..

The major problem, along with both Casey the week before and the senior side this week was not taking the chances on offer. Casey should have won that by double what the score ended up being. Well done for kicking away in the end but that was a complete demolition in the second half and in particular in the last quarter. I know the conditions were terrible but we play there enough to know them and players still took ages to adapt. Maybe it was the plan, but it wasn't until the last quarter really that we actually took advantage of our knowledge of the ground and started spreading to positions that made it easier to shift the ball around without too much risk. Once we did that, we buried em. Sandy probably got a bit tired though which would have helped.

Oliver was brilliant. Nice and fired up after he was bitten. He controlled it pretty well I thought. Just added an even tougher edge to him. He is actually the best handball at the club too i reckon. Just so smooth and pretty much always not only hits a target but puts it right where you want to receive it when running on to it.

Hugely concerning with Spencer going down. Pedersen did a SUPER job and I thought was really unlucky not to get at least 1 vote considering who he was up against. He's actually a suprisingly good back up ruck. Gets plenty of taps against genuine ruckman. Makes him a really versatile player in my view. Can play down back comfortably, is a good lead up forward, with a decent set shot and a good grab up front, and can pinch hit in the ruck. As opposed to that, Dawes can, um, act as a decoy well? Rather unsure why the two aren't swapped. If it doesn't happen this week I'll riot given Dawes' game in the seniors.

The sandy player won't get anything, umpire didn't give a shit and didn't report him. Should've been carded straight away, biting is ****ed.

To be honest they were spreading all day mate, It just wasn't getting rewarded, they kept looking inside instead of out wide, then when they went out wide the play was already being covered (happened to white right in front of me three times, got poleaxed in one, because instead of kicking to him on the wing from CHB, they chipped around the middle, then back, then finally went wide). They weren't playing smart in the first half.

Haha, try standing 10 feet from him and say he controlled it well, it took him a good two minutes to get under control (and about 4 casey players telling him to settle down)

Spencer wasn't too bad, more precautionary than anything. Pedo was good, but Decs needs commending too, kid hasn't been around long, and he rucked and played well against quality.

Feel bad for buggy. Poor bloke was at the Melbourne game saturday, got told he wasn't needed, shoved on a plane saturday night, to play at Casey sunday morning.

Umpire couldn't report it without actually seeing the incident, but based on seeing the bite on his hand, he could put in an incident referral for it to be looked at. If he didn't do that after seeing the bite mark, enjoy the Dev League next week champ ... out of interest, do you know what number the umpire was?

According to http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-07-...ng-for-your-club-in-this-weekends-second-tier both Bugg and Kennedy had to fly back for it ... that is a TOUGH gig, fantastic effort from both of them to play so well.

I'd find it hard to believe he didn't see it. You can see it on the tv and it was on the far side of the ground. Something hopefully happens. Biting is a shit act and should be slammed

Shit Kennedy too. Good effort by both of them. Pretty dedicated.

Is there any way to watch the Casey games for those in Brisneyland?
I think non channel 7 games are uploaded on the club website

They are. I watched a couple of them earlier in the season. Not great quality and no commentary; though many would say that would actually improve the quality.

Fair enough, hard to see on TV but it's good we started doing it later on.

I more meant later on in the game. You could see (from TV) that he was still fired up about it, but he didnt do anything stupid with it.
Decs needs commending too
110% agree. He was brilliant. Really good last week to I thought. Deserved of his player of the month award.

Yep the kid has had a good month, hes progressed a heap

Oliver was belting the bloke who did it for the rest of the game every chance he got, he's just smart about it :P

Does anyone know Is there a stand on the camera side at Casey? Looked like there was about 15 people on the far side
The stand is on the camera side. It's also the only place with a chance of evading some of the wind, so any people watching will mostly huddle there.

I'm starting a new job tomorrow so I'm staying in tonight and not rocking up after a big one .. watching the VFL in Canada #dreamsdocometrue

****ing hell Oliver is a big bastard , modern players have such restraint .. if some campaigner bit my hand I'd ****ing lay one on the prick

There wasn't many people there. The far side gets the wind, but also means you don't have to listen to annoying dipshits
