Scandal The 2016 finals series was rigged

Buddy's ankle injury was a huge factor in the outcome. Second only to Libba completely sacrificing his game in the second half to tag Kennedy, who was easily BOG in the first half.
Kennedy's first half was as close to perfect that day.

3 goals, 30 odd disposals, Could not ask for more in a loosing effort.

The problem is that it wasn't an incorrect decision.

If you go and look at it again the contact from Wood was actually above the knee of Hannebery.
Yes, it was. He made, at the very least, partial contact with below the knee. It doesn't matter if the majority of contact was above the knee, because the AFL reviewed the incident, and confirmed he made contact with the lower knee, and that it was an incorrect decision.

This thread just shows how delusional the Bulldogs fans are. Defending a decision the umpires came out and said was incorrect. They're the sort of person who goes to a doctor and tells them what disease they have based off of what they found on webMD.

Almost as delusional as the Swans fans who blame a 4 goal loss on the umpiring :)

The only thing this thread shows is how the Swans haven't moved on from a GF loss to the better team on the day and they are still super salty.

Cry all the salty tears you like but it doesn't change the result.

Does Troy Pannell go for the Dogs?

Nup,

He had it in for Sydney

Fans criticised for booing after AFL umpire Troy Pannell stretchered from the field after head clash at Etihad Stadium

Pannell was stretchered from the field after a sickening head clash with Sydney’s Nick Malceski in the third quarter of Friday night’s game at Etihad Stadium. Play was halted for more than five minutes as Essendon medical staff — as the home club — tended to Pannell, an umpire with 128 games experience. A stop in play close to the Bombers’ half-forward line led to the collision.

Yeah a free kick on the half back flank would’ve made all the difference for the Swans.
Just would’ve turned it over anyway based on how poorly they were going by then.

WB got a dream run from the umps in the 2016 GF, anyone who says otherwise is dreaming. The amazing part of it was that it was Sydney on the receiving end of it. Was good to see them getting some of their own back in the biggest game of all. Having said all that WB get looked after by the umps more than most, I don't know what it is but it definitely happens.

As for talk of Franklin having a sore ankle I'm pretty sure Morris, his direct opponent for a big part of the game, was managing a much more significant back injury and beat him quite easily.

SEN update this ever 4 rounds. The Round 19 update is going to be hilarious (after the Swans and Dees games).

Wouldn't you have a greater sense of pride in the Bulldogs if they achieved success without this incredible umpiring tailwind?

So you highlight that the Bulldogs play a disciplined game with respect for the rules and how they are currently interpreted.
Perhaps other teams could actually look at that as a tactical approach, rather than being careless with the rules.

Have you ever commented on the fact that Richmond have according to you overcome the insurmountable odds of having the worst free kick differential over the last 4-5 years yet still been the most successful team during this period ?

If you think that 2016 was a gift to the Bulldogs based on free kick differential then you must think the Tigers flags are remarkable.
