No-one on the SC board has even gone near Tom McDonald this year in all the teams Ive seen. Is he injured? Deceased or in outer space (Dubbo)?
Am I missing something. Has he joined the YPK and is fighting ISIL?

He is a nice price and would love some feed back. Go Dees. You people must be a little bit excited ATM no?

McDonald is only 23 and has us all pretty excited.

He tapered off big time in the second half of last seasons super coach scoring though. I think he's slightly over priced but an even money chance of ending up a top 6 SC defender at the end of the year.

On your SC thread on your board they worry about his disposal and Salem taking points. What are your thoughts on these things? :footy:

McDonald's disposal is at times hideous, and at best mediocre. He gets decent mark numbers, and intercepts, but his kicking can let him down very badly at times. Salem is probably going to be our 'designated kicker' for this year (if fit) though Tom doesn't mind going on a trot and having a dig himself.

You people have made it hard for me to pick young Tom... :(

But thankyou for your time :)

I agree with what Dory_77 said, however McDonald will still take plenty of intercept and contested marks, lay some tackles, and rack up a decent number of handballs each game. He never really got his points from kicking.

I'm starting with 3 other defensive premiums, and will look to upgrade to McDonald if he is scoring well at about round 6-10.

Hey guys, will Christian Petracca be fit for Round 1? Just wondering because I noticed he didn't play in any of the 3 NAB games.
Also thoughts on Clayton Oliver? Thanks.

Hey fellas, is there any chance one of Mitch or Max King will get a game this year?
I'm still struggling to tell the difference tbh. One of them could be selected by mistake.

Mitch definitely not. Max an outside chance. For SC purposes, no to both.
Tom Bugg thoughts please. Don't keep it under your hat.:)
I've had him in and out. He will play every game unless his form drops significantly so no problems there. He's a ball winner no doubt and loves to tackle. Plenty of upside but awkwardly priced. He will burn you some weeks I feel. 50/50 call - does that help? :D

If you're willing to go up to $400K, Salem is the better bet, although I've gone B Smith at $415K.

Thanks!

I want to take one as my non playing ruck/fwd loophole since you guys play plenty of Sunday matches.
I don't want them to play early, but I'm happy to for them to get games late in the year.
I'll take Max.

Cheers :)

Hey all,

Question for a sixth mid- brayshaw or vince?

Do you think brayshaw will score well as a forward?

They arent really comparable? Vince costs about $200,000 more.. Brayshaw will step up again this year but wouldn't expect him to score as high or as consistently as Vince. If Vince is your 6th mid you must be light on other positions haha

You know that just because he's a forward/mid in SC it doesn't mean he'll play forward in actual games, right? :P

Regardless I wouldn't pick him, not worth it at the price. Vince is a great option IMO.

Thanks to all. Playing dream team elite. We had our draft last week and trying to size up my bench positions. Thought Brayshaw could be a handy forward/bench option if he gets midfield minutes. To get him I'll need to trade Vince out off the bench

If it's a draft you could do worse than Brayshaw, but I'm sure there are better options.

With Petracca playing a reserves match over the Easter weekend of Round 1, when is the earliest we'll see him? Would you rush him in for Round 2, or do you guys plan to give him 2-3 weeks at VFL level to build him up/ease him in?

As far as I've read - but anyone can correct me if I've missed it - it's been left pretty open ended when we may see him in the AFL. That being said, I get the impression that unless he tears the VFL apart early, and/or there is a need to replace someone, he'll be made to earn it with consecutive strong performances

Dunno, can see him sitting in the forward line at AFL level as early as round 2 against Essendon.

I read the other day that they are giving him 4 more weeks before he plays.. that would mean round 3 before he plays any football

Nah AFL Round 2, has been training for 2 weeks, so another 2 to go. He could realistically play in Round 3, but he won't get a game until he's demanding one, so if he's as good as we think, somewhere between Round 3 and 6 perhaps. Tho if we lose to Essendon, Round 3 for sure!
