I'm not expecting miracles from a Dew.. all I want is to watch us play good attractive football.. not this garbage scrap crap we've dished out in 7 out of 8 games.
You would be on dews case in 5 seconds flat

I would love ratten to come in. After being through the hawthorn system he would be a great addition. Clarko would be good if his hearts in it but I dare say he would strip the playing list bare. A lot of players wouldn't be to his standard.
Allow me to be a typical, one eyed supporter. **** Ratten, he was front and centre when Carlton decided that they would not trade with us when it came to Fevola. Before anyone says that Fevola was trouble, MM the master man manager wouldn't have allowed him to stay off the rails.

Things change. We need a ratten to take the reigns

I have changed my mind on Buckley (not for the first time). There doesn't look to be a disconnect between the players and coach, so I think Bucks should be given the rest of the year. Use this time to gradually introduce young players and to develop a more attacking game style. The club can conduct a full review of the footy department at the end of the season.
I do agree but I think regardless if they are playing for bucks I think they should be looking toward our next coach and footy department and recruiting department for next year.

As tongue in cheek as my response was, I still don't want him. If I follow the lead of others who assess a man's personality based on not much, he won't be forceful enough to deal with our admin.
Our admin, specifically ed, should not be involved this time round regarding our appointment of the new head coach and hanging around the coaches box period

Haha I thought was tongue in cheek, didn't know whether to respond to the tongue in cheek comment or a serious comment

Absolutely but at stages they will cross paths and swords.
Pert: Hey mate, what's going on? Shouldn't have dropped that one.
Coach: We'll have a look at it, don't worry, we'll sort it out.
Ed: Well mate.......
Coach: No! You two just need to do up your ties, keep sprouting your side by side bullshit, organise another celebration that alienates our supporter base, get the Collingwood softball team up and stay the **** out of my office.
Ed: What? Now listen here......
Coach: Stop! Once you give me your undivided attention, we can talk. Until then, I talk to Walshey and that's it. Oh yeah, he's going to ask you where the **** his ruck coach is?

I felt sorry for Bucks last night, the coaching staff didn't do a lot wrong yesterday, and if anything he may have even out coached Cameron (not that it's hard to do that, he may be the worst coach in the AFL at the moment).

But if we had of held on, and with Hawks and Lions to come, it's likely we would be 5-5 after 10 games, which is some fightback after a 1-4 and 2-5 start.

But alas we lost, and now at best we will be 4-6 with 2 very hard games to come after that (Dockers in Perth, Dees on their grand final day).

Apparently Geoff Walsh is ultimately the one making the decision on Bucks, or at least the recomendation to the board. He was due to meet with the board after round 8, and hello, we have passed round 8 with a 2-6 record.

I'd be shocked if anything happened this week, or even before the bye, but Walsh's report to the board this week won't be a glowing one, and it won't be entirely about one man either, we all know there are bigger problems then just the senior coach that have placed us at 2-6.

IF we don't win another Game before the Bye.

I can see 1 of 2 things Happening:

  1. Club Comes out and says Bucks Contract won't be ReNewed but will Coach the Season Out
  2. Bucks Quits and Board Accepts it and we have Sanderson or Burns(HopeFully Burns) as the Caretaker Coach

The sad part is that feels like it's exactly what is needed and what those two (Ed and Pert) are doing currently :(

I am sitting in the spa, drinking my BrewArt homemade brew, reading Wheels magazine.
Sue me.
And I come across an article that contains a quote from the great man Einstein.
It relates to his theory of insanity.
Which he defines as,
doing the same thing over and expecting a different result.
Pretty deep thinker that man. And spot on.
Bux, your time is up, Albert says so.

I'm for A Clarkson.. if he's heart and effort is where it should be.

Or a young reputable assistant coach.. like Dew.

I can't wait for the day when there's rumours of Buckley being sacked/resigning and an imminent press conference to confirm.

This has been the worst 6 yrs of football i have seen us play. Dismantling a premiership side where there was talk of building a dynasty.. to suit one's self.. to cover up for ones deficiencies as a coach.. rebuilding it.. with no key positiion players.. and midfielders running around like headless chooks.

My respect for Buckley has definetely diminished ovee time.. i look at a great player of course.. but then i revert back to.. 'you destroyed this team'.

Was it a selfish act that he did accept the role.. did Buckley ever stop to think and say 'I'm not ready for the role'? I think he did! And that what upsets me the most.
You are the like many here who think that by repeating previously torpedoed arguments, they magically become valid.

To criticize supporters for having these views is nonsensical to begin with.. so your argument falls on deaf ears.

Lumumba was always like that.. and i loved him for it.

Now our players run around like zombies without an identity. Who is Crisp.. you couldn't give me a description even if you tried.
He is criticising supporters like you, for persisting with arguments that have been discredited, and therefore irrelevant as to whether Buckley can coach.
You are not convincing anyone with this stuff.
