I agree. Those losses to Richmond, Essendon and Carlton really hurt.
Reality says we were in every game except the Essendon loss which they had control of for majority of the game.

Kick straighter and we'd likely be 6 and 2.

So for all the negatives there is alos sunshine popping through the cracks. The players are the only ones who can turn it around and it has to start tonight.

Lose the next 2 Games and Bucks would have no where to Hide
He doesn't need to hide. It's quite obvious where he is placed at the moment.
However, he will be the professional person that he is...continue to approach each game & plan to win.
At the end of the season there will be a review & Bucks will be gone.
He will accept that...take on media gigs...wait for the next opportunity.
In the background the Club would have already sounded out several coaching options, although they should hold an open assessment & thorough interview process to find the right person for Collingwood.

i wasnt going to comment but i cant let this go.
The club was gutted after 2012 and beyond on the basis that Buckley beleived it was the way to go... and he has said that repeatedly that we will improve in 2015 2016 and 2017 repeatedly.
the Side looks nothing like it would have looked if MM remained
(and before we get the blah blah is better than blah blah and ning nong was cooked and joe blow was too old, the recruits we got in would have been totally different cos the different coaching philosophies means different types of recruits were needed)
If you refer to the thread of post you will see I was referring to gutted in the context of Coaching and administration.
Gutting of lists that you are complaining about is standard practice with new coaches. MM did when appointed, then again mid way through his term. Then did it again at Carlton, and as has Bolton.

So why you begrudge Buckley using the standard practice of "list gutting" is difficult to understand.

ok sorry thought you were talking about the playing list.
as for your question, we didnt need to gut the playing list, we had a premiership list that we just needed to tweak as the players got old or had to be moved on etc and keep the basic structure of the list in tact. Buckleys list has us in 17th place and going backwards.

Mate I'm a Collingwood man through and through.. my family's history is 110% Collingwood.

But when it comes to decision making involving the club.. sometimes it's best to seek advice from impartial parties.
Seriously sport - you are kidding yourself if you think Ed does not consult widely given his networks.
Why you persist with these clear fabrications as means to justify your anti ED/BUCKS agenda is very disappointing.

We are not fools and can see right through these fabrications.

Apparently they were all stuffed.. i truly believe that.. not!!!! Certain individual can't coach.. let's get rid of the evidence.. and start again.. until time catches up with him.. and much to everyone's dismay.. still can't coach.

Oh wow.. what a surprise.. pffffffff!

Per your earlier post where you said you dont want to rehash the past. I will simply say, that of all the players traded, SHAW is the only one guaranteed to make our best 22 today.
And Buckley did not withhold the elixir of youth from the aging stars.

Apart from SHAW - who are these guys that would improve our best 22 today? Most of them cant get a game for their new clubs, or retired.

Make your case.

I wasn't happy with the decision to appoint him as coach.. but i thought 'ok it's been done.. deal with it.. see what he's got to offer'.. all I've seen are shock trades.. shock retirements.. a bad game style even dating back to his first yr with a gun side.. and the list goes on and on..

I think he tried to start off his coaching career the right way.. things started f up a lil to the point where things started spiraling out of control.. taking care of one issue.. 3 issues arise.. taking care of another issue.. once again another 3 issues arise.. feeling overehelmed and panicking and making irrational decisions on the trade table etc..
What were these irrationals decisions made at the trade table, that have driven the club to the lows you are implying.

it was 6 years ago, the list would have been turned over very differently. you just cant state that and i dont know where we would have gone, we might still be up top or we might be like Brisbane, who knows, it was a sliding doors moment. It just didnt need to be a sliding doors moment, thats my lament

You cant have it both ways - that is complain that Bucks made to many changes, thereby implying that the decision was wrong.
And then say. but who knows making no changes may have not been effective either.

It is an unsound basis for criticising Bucksley if that's what you truly believe.

I am going to do some psycho analysis on you here, let's see if I am close.

There is a part of your brain that knows Buckley is not a good coach as much as you want him to be. But there is another part of your brain that desperately wants him to succeed. To get what he wasn't able to as a player. To stand up there on the dais holding the cup.
You don't want to accept he can't coach because your desire to see him succeed overwhelms it.

To be honest this is just me psycho anlaysing myself. But I have finally let go of the hope and accepted reality. Time for you to join us Jmac.
Your analysis doesn't account for or explain why Jmac wanted Bucks lynched last year. I have come to the conclusion that the ways of the Jmac are mysterious and impervious to psycho analysis.

It's only on BigFooty where it is some sort of status symbol to not have ever changed your mind about something. In the real world people do it all the time.

This is not the time or place to discuss if when or how Buckley should finish up as coach.

Its the game day thread, although no doubt some Bucks haters will be wanting us to lose so they can say Ï told you so
