Fox Footy pre-game.

Jon Ralph raised the issue, from which the segment careened off the rails as McGuire morphed into a combination of Trump and Samuel L Jackson from Pulp Fiction...
**** me. So basically Nathan will be staying. Surely his position is untenable

I really wish I could see that little interview. I don't have Foxtel

Ed has been there too long.

That said, why isn't he allowed to be as passionate, defensive and abrasive as he wishes?
Many here act as if they are the final arbiter on all things Collingwood, so why can't Ed claim the same thing.

(With the knowledge he is the final arbiter of all things Collingwood )

I heard his interview and too me was giving the big finger to quite a few people.

All very comical in its way

Depends if you subscribe to the theory that McGuire is faking it or not...
I don't reckon Ed is that's the scary thing. We all know what he is like. Once his mind is made up on an issue it's like trying to pry a bone out of a dogs mouth to get him to see it from another view point.

Because his passion is maniacle and disillusioned.

TBH I think the problem with Collingwood is that everyone at the club, from the president to the water boy, think they're doing a great job and that our terrible performances are someone else's fault.
And supporters believe there is an easy one minute fix.

I'd say there is a 15 point step fix

Each step is getting a better player.

Better players better results.

He knows there's a problem. He should own it, be real. Speak in simple, believable terms; people are not stupid and most are also willing to give a bloke a fair go if he's honest.

Ed will lose support if he continues to play politics like this. He can give the finger to who he likes, but he can't afford the impression that he is doing that to the club's supporter base. The tribe is angry!

It's good that he is defending the coach, but in this interview he seemed more like a brawler going down hooking.

Always has been.

I don't think he's as smart as he thinks he is.

And our club isn't a great club; just a good medium club.

But until we have better players we will remain where we are (regardless who is the coach or bootstudder)

Elite key forwards yes.

Moore might become one but he's not even close yet.

Imagine if you will, we have a young Tony Lockett type surrounded by a young Darren jarman type, then we improve out of sight
If we had Patton from gws Moore would improve out of sight.

Another thing whilst on this.. we cannot have a president like this anymore. It instills the wrong culture and image throughout the club of arrogance which eventually leads to mediocrity which has quite evidently caused our eventual demise and put the club in the position it is in now. We need a new set of eyes at the top, a new vision, a new hope because as it stands if management stays as is, even with a new coach things may not change regardless.

Since 1999....
It's just too long.

Thanks for all his work and passion (can't deny he has that) but it's a long long long stint.

And as it's flags we are judged on, it's only one flag in his long tenure.

It's not a great record really.

But for all the good, the not so good, it's just time.
