Rolling AA for the end of Rd 14.

IN: Josh P. Kennedy, Robbie Gray
OUT: Rory Sloane, Adam Treloar

Treloar didn't have a bad game, however JPK deserves a spot and I wasn't prepared to drop Zorko out of the side completely, despite his 5 touch performance. Zorko has been fantastic all year. Treloar was collateral damage, I guess. Although some say he shouldn't have been there in the first place. Robbie Gray is in outstanding form and has taken Zorko's place at HF. Sloane goes out because he's had far too many down games (tagged) now, don't think anyone would argue that.

What are peoples thoughts on Josh J. Kennedy (WCE) holding a spot despite missing so many games? I'm keeping him there because based on averages he deserves to be there. Interesting topic though. Do Rolling AA's need to be form based?
Would drop Mitchell for Merrett and Kennedy for Daniher.

Yes I am aware how biased this sounds coming from an Essendon fan.

Daniher burns every opponent that is on him, if you lose your opponent, of course your marks are going to be contested. A lot of his contested marks are in packs he had no right to get to in time. See: Friday night.
The exact same thing could be said about Kennedy? Uncontested marks down the field shouldn't be weighted heavier than contested marks as a key forward.

Maybe make that post after he's played a good game. He was ordinary against Sydney and his decision making at the end cost you the game.

Yeah Daniher was shithouse.

Another suggestion would be drop Kennedy for Merrett, move Cameron to FF, Gray to FP, Zorko to HF.

If JJK misses enough games to become out of the equation for selection than this is a potential move, as I'd prefer to have Gray in the pocket. Still don't think Merrett is AA yet though.

Didn't realise there was a quota for each team, but he's likely in the squad of 40 at this stage - and therefore in contention.
In the 40 no question. Upped his clearance winning this year. Already 6 ahead of his best ever seasonal output in that category.
Has been what's held him back moving into the A grade mid grouping in previous seasons. Now a very consistent 3rd wheel.

I get that the only time you've watched a St Kilda game is when poor little captain genius got teased by big bad jake so I'll let you off lightly here.

Jake is a very, very good player and should make the 40 man squad quite easily.
Possibly but won't make final team and I watch a lot of saints games developing nicely but need one or two more mids and as for murph we'll leave that one alone.

I'm not saying he'll necessarily be AA, but do you even watch St Kilda games, let alone pay attention to how Carlisle has gone? He has been excellent this season. Or are you just refusing to acknowledge him because you're still upset he sledged your 'hero' captain?
Refer to my response re AFL online poster.

Franklin needs a big game this week to hold his spot. Has been just ok the last few weeks.

Kennedy is borderline, bench at best. Becoming a 4 time AA would be well deserved for what he has done for the club and reflect how good he has been this decade. He should already be a 4 time AA player, still don't understand how he missed the team in 2015.

Lloyd a chance for the squad but I wouldn't have in the actual team.

Then why was it so humerous at first?

He's a great player and amongst the best key defenders in the league.

Also I'm not sure what relevance having 1-2 more mids at the Saints holds in Carlisle AA discussions.

I'm not saying Carlisle isn't in contention for the squad but I'd have Talia, Hurley, Rance, Henderson, May, Davis and Tarrant all as good or better so far this season.

Carlisle Cola wasn't great in the first 4-5 rounds. Has gotten better as the year has gone on as expected. I wouldn't think he'd be in the squad ATM but has now laid solid foundations so if keeps improving he certainly could be by years end.

Why I'd prefer Ryder or Kruezer to Grundy or Martin. I like AA ruckmen to be great ruckmen first.
Grundy rarely gets truly beaten in the ruck, so I'm not sure why you're talking about him that way. He basically broke even with Ryder on Saturday in the middle and killed him around the ground.
