Didn't see today's Carlton game but if he indeed dominated he must surely now be the leading candidate for the AA ruck spot.

If so, terrific to see. Glad to see he's achieving to his potential, no one wants players to have their careers ruined by injury.
I had him written off tbh. Massive turn around!

Scotland the hypocrisy of this post is incredible. I agree about zorko over mitchell BTW. But when you were argueing a few pages back with me and a few other guys that stats mean nothing then you pull out the stats to suit your arguement. Really? Wow!
You must have a double digit IQ.

Zorko is underrated because of his stats. He gets 25 touches a game in an era where getting 30 really isn't all that special any more and is marked down for it, when his 25 are more valuable than 35 from most players running around.

Why bother quoting my post if you are going to disregard everything except the first two lines?

Bryce Gibbs firming for a spot in the 22 now IMO.

Has been very good all year, but his last 6 weeks in particular have been exceptional. Averaging 33.67 disposals (38.69% contested), 6.33 clearances, 4.17 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s, 1.50 goals, 1 goal assist, and 7.33 tackles per game over that period, with an average Champion Data Player Ranking Score of 131.67 per game. In the form of his life right now.

Kruezer, Gibbs and Cripps are ranked 2nd 3rd and 4th for player ratings the last 5 weeks. Today will only enhance that. All 3 were huge today in the contest. Good seeing Cripps finally having scoreboard impact BUT he's probably not going to make AA until 2018 after another full pre season. He's going to be huge next year.

Cripps hasn't exactly "dropped off" at all this year, either. Having Kreuzer, Gibbs and Murphy fully fit playing with him in the midfield every week means he doesn't necessarily have to carry such a heavy workload around the contest as he did last year (when he was #1 in clearances per game, and #2 in contested possessions per game). Doesn't make him less of a player though.

In a way, this foursome kind of gets to be what Judd/Kreuzer/Gibbs/Murphy never really got to be together (due to injury and positional changes), which is good to see.

Pretty impressive then for a guy who had no preseason. I'm saying he hasn't dropped off but we all at Carlton expect to see even more once he gets a full preseason into his body again.

I cannot see Carlton getting 2 all-Australians if we finish bottom 2-4, let alone 3.

Would not be surprised if Gibbs, kreuzer, docherty and maybe Murphy all make the squad and none the final team. Performances in winning teams just seem to matter so much more when it comes to this selection

Agree with this, but I think Docherty is essentially a lock at this point. Would be really hard to explain leaving him out.

Maybe. He's phenomenal, can't do much more

But Yeo, Laird, Hibberd have all been great too, and their teams will be in finals. If Docherty slips a bit as our season peters out and they all keep it up, he won't be a lock at all

Hibbard won't be AA though lol...

Roberton will be selected before him and Docherty definitely will be.

Especially after he was controversially left out last year! If he keeps going close to how he has so far then if he got left out of the final team it would be as bad as when Walker missed out on the MOTY!

Interesting, yet all have legitimate claims to making it. For mine, Kruezer, Gibbs and Docherty are locks in the side as of now.

Loving the fact Kruezer is having a good run at it injury wise and showing the footy world how good he really is

If I had to pick a back 6 to play the last three months grimes would be back pocket. Given a guy like Stratton never seemed to be considered for the side he probably has no hope but he is shutting down all sizes and is an annoying mongrel.
Hadn't conceded a goal over his last month before last night, and Gray's only goal came when he was on McIntosh.

Won't be considered for the side though.

I see a lot of Dale Morris in him.

It sounds crazy to me, but if Liam Jones continues on, could he magic himself into the AA squad? I doubt they will pick him in the 22, but would be amazing if he got into the squad. I imagine Rance will get the FB spot and smaller guys will be around him.

You can't make the squad if you only play 12 games.
