It sounds crazy to me, but if Liam Jones continues on, could he magic himself into the AA squad? I doubt they will pick him in the 22, but would be amazing if he got into the squad. I imagine Rance will get the FB spot and smaller guys will be around him.
I don't think he can be anywhere near the 22. He's in good form no doubt but there are just so many quality tall defenders going around right now with Rance, Hurley, Lever, Talia, etc

Six decades of domination
Bryce Gibbs firming for a spot in the 22 now IMO.

Has been very good all year, but his last 6 weeks in particular have been exceptional. Averaging 33.67 disposals (38.69% contested), 6.33 clearances, 4.17 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s, 1.50 goals, 1 goal assist, and 7.33 tackles per game over that period, with an average Champion Data Player Ranking Score of 131.67 per game. In the form of his life right now.
I swear Gibbs does this every year. Plods along for about 3 months a year then pulls out an amazing purple patch. When he's on he's beautiful to watch.

I think overall this is turning out to be clearly his best and most consistent year of footy. A full time midfield role, with a proper ruckman and quality support around him each week, are allowing Gibbs to show exactly what he can do.

He also had a phenomenal 2014, when he won our B&F. Was dominant in the clearances.

He started a bit slow this year but his last 6 weeks has been the best patch of his career. Getting forward and kicking clutch goals, and also more damaging coming out of the middle. At one point he was prone to just throw the ball on his boot but he's been deadly by hand and foot in recent weeks.

Not yet I'm afraid.

However if he plays like he did today (and last week) for the remainder of the games then I can see him sneaking in to the 40.
The 40 is the squad. Before today he was just 4th overall in the AFL for points scored from intercept possessions. That's the kind of stat that matters and he's right up there. Definitely a good case for being in the squad.

Both his stats, impact in games and consistently are up there with Roberton and Howe.
