I know I sound like a broken record, but boy I am happy with Matty Kreuzer. Another stellar game. Not one below average game all year. Was superb today.

Now to wait for Eagles fans to come on here and scoff and laugh

Always thought Kruezer was abit of an underwheming player until today (admittedly don't watch many Carlton games). Along with Gibbs almost singlehandedly got Carlton across the line.
I haven't seen Goldy obliterated like that pretty much since ever. Absolutely destroyed him. Even though Todd is a shadow of what he was a couple of seasons ago, he ain't no slouch in the ruck. Kruezer absolutely pantsed him today.

Why? Melb took Watts ahead of NN. Kreuz always been a talent, staying on the park was the issue.

By Eagles fans I think you mean Sweet Jesus.

I haven't paid much attention to the rucks this year. Gawn injured, Goldy down, NicNat out...

Who will you be recruiting from GWS this year?

I recommend Shiel and Kelly. Absolute jets.
Shiel will be a FA target when his contract expires in 1-2 years, no need to give up assets atm.

Kelly will be too expensive.

One or both of Hopper/M. Kennedy, need another mid STAT.

Unrelated to thread, but I really hope they remove FA compo before the 2011 draft class reaches FA status. GWS won't go down for a very long while.

I was critical of Kruezer earlier, but one of the few rucks who appears to be getting better as the year goes on. As good a chance as any for the position at the moment.

In related news what's the go with goldy at the moment? Is he playing injured?

TBH, he looks like he's moving towards simply being cooked.

A little early considering his age (he's only 29), but he's had an extremely heavy workload over the journey, especially for a big bloke.

On his current trajectory, I wouldn't be surprised if he's done by the end of 2018.

Love the big Kruz. Definetely a contender for the ruck spot. Not the strongest in the ruck but he adds so much to the contests around the ground.

No idea why, it's just been the case the moment Kreuzer's name was uttered in this thread a few weeks back (when he cleaned up Grundy whilst Grundy was in everyone's team).

I still think Ryder will get the gig and there are definitely better tap ruckmans out there, but I am glad finally other supporters are acknowledging Kreuzer's season so far.

Funny thing about NN, our recruiting manager actually said at the time NN was picked up (had he been available the year earlier, we would have selected him over Kreuzer).

:thumbsu:

I actually think he's been great all year. I don't think his form has dropped at all. It is no surprise the only game we got absolutely pants is the game he was missing with injury.

Ill give Kruezer the W against Grundy, but it wasnt the clean up you are making it out to be. Grundy still managed to find 17 disposals and have 30 hitouts. It wasnt as if Grundy was completely ineffective.

He was though. He was very ineffective and turned it over several times. He was outworked and defensively he was poor. Not saying that was all Kreuzer's doing, but he was very much below par. Whilst Kreuzer was close to best on.
