Well done, you can google! Now that you know who they are, when did they come take your measurements? Surely you remember that?
Personally, I remember having my height measured at the GP on a regular basis when I was growing up. I will point out though that Gary Rohan (from memory) grew about 8cm between us drafting him and his debut game.

Mick Oxlong, they don't need to come around and measure us individually at home anymore, Science has progressed way beyond that. All of those who go to a public school are measured and weighed in certain years for public health data collection and to try to counteract known prevalent conditions such as obesity. It's been going on for at least 40 years (probably began not long after WW2). And I'm pretty sure, that your local public hospital and doctor collect data and pass them on minus any identifiers. There will be numerous other collection points as well.

I think that you will find that most very tall people are outliers in averages, and that growth generally does slow down after 16, occasionally it spurts. And the latter is what both he and the club will be hoping for.

You do know how averages work right? Or are you just deliberately being an ass?
Yeah, i know how averages work. Did you read my original post:

Not really. Growth generally slows down after age 16... if he's 170 now, he might only get to 175.
And then old mate came in and told me i was wrong, and we can expect a growth spurt from him. Did i ever say it was impossible? No. because it is possible, but it's more likely he won't have one. Why...

... because that's how averages work.

Gary Rohan was 188cm at draft time and the Swans site records him as 189cm now.

So we're all in agreement? The kid might grow more than 10cm in over 2 years but is all the likely he may not? Great!

Those stats do look interesting, kid seems a gun. Even if he doesn't grow at all he's still taller than Caleb Daniel and I wouldn't mind him running around in the Red & White

Definitely some confusion in the media to how tall he was when he was drafted by the Swans
Yep!

When he did get to play the 188cm Rohan became a sensation. He went from the Falcons to a starring role with Vic Country in the U/18 national championships which earnt him a berth in the All-Australian team.

In two days time it's likely he could be leaving the family farm in the Western District and heading to either Sydney or Fremantle.

We should be redoubling our efforts to sign Will Brodie from GCS.

This week we'll find out what our midfield looks like without Josh Kennedy carrying the heavy load on the inside.
Brodie is a solid grunt player, there are a few cheap options around. Even old man Barlow if fit. Lots of cheapies.

Gary Rohan was 188cm at draft time and the Swans site records him as 189cm now.
I'm not certain on what height he was at draft time, I did find one draft profile whichlisted him at 188cm just now, I also found one which listed him at 186. This article references his growth spurt, both on his time between being drafted and debuting, but also his growth spurt in his draft year which is more relevant to the conversation anyway I guess https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/...1bad1cc13?sv=ab350bf2b9de2e38482797fa3d633d12

That being said, I don't trust what the swans site lists players at in the slightest.
The photo I've uploaded (and it's my first crack at a photo, so who knows where exactly it's ended up in the post... sorry) shows some comparisons. According the site Rohan is the shortest player in this photo. 10cm behind Buddy, 7cm to Reid, and 1cm shorter than Kennedy.
