And we're back. My favourite time of the year, in between the trade and draft periods where our new recruits will fill in the digits left behind by past Shinboners. There's some good ones to be taken this year.

Final allocations:
#1. Majak Daw
#6. Taylor Garner
#9. Luke Davies-Uniacke
#12. Jy Simpkin
#17. Mitchell Hibberd
#20. Nick Larkey
#21. Alex Morgan
#27. Will Walker
#37. Kyron Hayden
#38. Tristan Xerri
#39. Billy Hartung
#40. Tom Murphy
#41. Gordon Narrier
#43. Tom Jeffries

I'd give Morgan #17 or 20.

#12 is a good number for a high pick to wear for a decade.

I never disagree with anything you say Pykie , but isn't giving someone like Morgan #20 a little disrespectful to Dish?

There's plenty of great numbers in the club, was giving #2 to Marley disrespectful to Schwass?

Your bound to offend some past player.

There's probably 3-4 real sacred numbers, I'm not sure #20 is one of those despite how much of a warrior he was.

Like I said we've got greats littered through plenty of jumpers around the place, there's probably about 3 jumpers I'd consider sacred.

I'd consider #11, #18 & #27 to be the sacred ones of the club.

You could argue Boomer has elevated #29 to that status.

Number #4, #20, #15 not far behind them.

Add #6 tothat sacred list, in spite of its last incumbent.

Going back to 1949 #6 has only been given to players that have gone on to play 100+ games for North.

John Reeves 1949-1955 83 (played 19 in #24 in 1948)
John Dugdale 1955-1970 248
Arnold Briedis 1972-1983 161
Ian Fairley 1984-1996 211
Shannon Grant 1998-2008 243
Lachlan Hansen 2009-2017 151

Give it to pick 4.

Stop cutting masterminds grass

Stop cutting masterminds grass

Desperately needing to regain some grounds of relevance here.....

Lachie Hansen is the first #6 since Harold Winberg in 1947 not play in a Grand Final or win a B&F.
In 1975, 77 and 96 the #6 scored our last goal in our Premiership and in '99 #6 was the equal leading goalscorer and BOG
In 1975, 77 and 99 the #6 was the leading goalscorer in premiership wins.
Along with #34, #6 is the only number to appear in all four premierships

Umm..umm....what else?

Fair enough......fairly big timeline between Schwatta and Marley. ....Plus, 2 was passed down from BreadMac.
Dish's 20 I'd be waiting for someone who appears to have the hardness required to carry that number. Shimma and Dish are both 300 gamers no?

There was another bloke who wore #20 who could go a bit.

#1 - Jed. The number is a black cat and his career at North thus far is a black cat. Maybe 2 black cats = ?profit?
#6 - Simpkin
#9 - if applicable - 1 year retire
#12 - reserved
#17 - pick 4
#20 - Daw. Let's mix up his numerology and hope it changes something. Maybe some of Drew's footy smarts are still in the locker.
#37 - pick 23
#41 - pick 64
#43 - our last pick
