I'm a little shattered that the Mariners made it through - their meme-level failures in the FFA Cup vs state league opposition actually kind of gave the Cup some credibility.

We still have Wellington to continue the tradition.

Raining sideways at the AU/Knights game.

That was the worst run-up to a penalty I have ever seen from that Wellington bloke who missed the third kick.

Wellington are out. A couple of shocking penalties cost them in the shootout.

Good to see Wellington keeping up the tradition ;)
Did I say NPL? I meant NSL ;)
... :(

In our defence, two players from last year's strongest 11 played tonight... But that was shocking. Devere is way too slow for the A-League nowadays, and I think my fears might be confirmed about how Kiwis are going to get games because they're Kiwis, not because they're A-League quality.

Looking forward to the Moreland Zebras game, reckon it'll be at Hume Citys home ground.

Also, great turnout from Melbourne Knights. Love seeing these suburban football grounds pumping. Makes such a difference to watching a lot of A League games from soulless big stadiums 1/5th full.
