smarter pit/out-lap/in-lap strategy has seemingly put MCL into another great position to win, just in front of Davison.

now MCL is putting quite the gap on Davison... I guess he didn't have enough in the race in the end anyway.

The facilities are great, the layout for the most part is decent, but as a whole the track is pretty lifeless. Similar to this race.

With these guys building new racing facilities, I wonder what goes into the design of the tracks?

The Bend is one really long circuit that can be broken up into two tacks that can be used at the same time. I wonder if there's any copyright that prevents copying other circuits not in use?

If I was that loaded that I could build a track. I'd consider building a replica of Oran and Amaroo Park, next to each other in the same complex.

Consequences that usually result in a million safety car periods and still bugger all passing. It ain't for me.

A good street circuit makes for great racing (eg. Adelaide, and hey, technically Bathurst), though I do prefer dedicated tracks...except that modern tracks are obsessed with run-off etc., making them very dull.

Oran Park on the right, Amaroo on the left (intersecting between Oran's turns 11 and 12) and Lakeside upside down on the Oran Park main straight?

Although Lakeside does still exist, at least, as does Calder.

Nah man, no intersecting. You get a huge block of land, and build a replica Oran Park. Then next to that, a replica of Amaroo.

Probably a 3.30 lap though. It's a good track, but the TV doesn't do it justice because the surrounds are so featureless.

It'll take them years to get it where it needs to be.
