So Keys - your just trying to wind me up aren’t you. I’ve still got my notes from the U18 Carnival - “great endeavour but kicking not AFL standard”
Monocle thinks I’m too hard but your photo just shows how flawed his action is. He thinks it is a skills problem where as I am still if the belief it’s a list management issue.
BOND 007 - 2019 needs to be the year to fix it so get Monocle or a kicking coach to iron him out or let him know he won’t make it without addressing fundamentals.

That's bad. Looking at it, his kicking leg is too straight so its no wonder he doesn't look balanced when kicking. The ball drop is too high as well, only players like Matera and Maxfield could pull off high ball drops like that as they had very good balance when kicking.

Not sure about kicking leg being too straight. May need to keep his right hand on the ball a little longer as a direct guide to foot. It's seems quite loose & going a bit early with the right arm up means less precision. Players kicking on non-preferred is an example of trying to be accurate where they're guiding it with both arms/hands. Hopefully it's just a little tweak that he is told to focus on because I think he's got the goods otherwise. Dubious about his chance of making it longterm otherwise with our game style, but I'm backing in the young fella. Sam Mitchell would be the guy to get the best guidance from....sorry for that last bit :(

Think this illustrates both our points well. Kicking leg bent for low centre of gravity and balance and both hands on the ball for better guidance to foot.

Guys I’m in dunsborough for a wedding. Eagles at same resort playing backyard cricket.

Will provide a training report and pictures when I’m back from the weekend.

Can report Cameron can smack a 6. Gaffs fielding is average.

Burn bowled gov out.

Shuey and Kennedy haven’t left the Eskys side

The Official Backyard Cricket Report.

So by chance I was staying at the same place as the mighty coasters for my mates wedding. Our place was right in the middle of theirs. It was the full squad, coaches and wags. Nicoski was also there. Plus us aka fanboys.

All the boys were on the beers and there was a very competitive game afoot. I don't know who was scoring but it was standard rules, 1 hand 1 bounce and the 6 and out which was probably the most common form of dismissal.

Didn't want to be too obvious as paparazzi as sure the boys would like to be left alone but hey how often is this going to happen?

Bunga leading the line. Confirmed wears dad sunnies.

Gov strutting.

Hamish Brayshaw who oddly looks like a shorter Callum Sinclair. Definitely was acting like a turbo taking the game the most serious.

Masto very content with his performance.

And finally, the winning team pictured in front of eagles premiership cans. Beautiful arrogance from the boys.

Gov giving the bird is all time.

Highlight of the day was us being used as third umpire. Redden was denying he snicked it. We declared we heard it from here . Gov loved it and had a bit of banter. Legend.

Does anyone know when the next open training session is being held?
Nothing on the club website yet other than a comment that the payers return on Monday 7/1

Expect that there’ll be an open session next week sometime but probably not Monday

Gate 10

If you go to where the team store on Roberts road there’s a set of stairs just to the east that gets you there
