From most reports, GWS are looking at Hawthorn’s first pick for Patton.

Personally, I reckon we should go out a get the best rehab specialist in Melbourne to add to our staff. Then we might be able to convince Patton to come to us.

He’s already shed most of his bulk to avoid stressing his knee and he would be playing a different type of forward role when he gets back, but it would still be a big improvement to our forward line.

Just because he'd be our best match up for Reiwoldt doesn't make him our best key defender. Reiwoldt would run both May and Lever into the ground. Frost is the only one that would go with him unless we threw TMac back. May is our best 1v1 key defender

There are more forwards like Riewoldt in the comp than not now. And regardless of whether or not May can hold them he’s proven to be very prone to not playing and also can’t play on multiple forwards at once. If he’s going to play on Charlie Cameron again who holds Hipwood? Didn’t Petty give up 5 goals to him in a burst? What did May do about that before Frost was moved onto him?

Keath for Frost wouldn't be a bad result but I'm not sold on Keath's 1v1 ability. He's also a year and a half older so we still need to be thinking about a long-term back-up option.
