Oh I don't blame him either.

He seems to among the ones taking it the most seriously, but between the guys that obviously haven't put much time into sim racing and those that weren't taking it seriously he got ****ed over in the first lap carnage, and it's understandable that he cbf'd trying to work his way through the pack of guys who could punt him off at any corner.

I do wonder how well the sponsors took it though...

The first race was pretty typical real Supercars but the second race was hilarious and highly entertaining. Also, the idea of track limits seem like little more than a suggestion.

The Brown kid that they punted Reynolds for is pretty good

Depends.

Minor ones are allowed to rack up (you get an allocation of points each race (was 30 for the 2nd race), and going off-track is like 1 point) but major ones result in a "slow down" where you need to slow to a certain speed for a few seconds - that's what did Scott McLaughlin in in the 2nd race (and being shunted during it)

Virgin Australia puts cloud over Supercars, AFL, arts sponsorships

Tens of millions of dollars worth of sponsorship deals, including a major contract potentially worth up to $10m annually with the AFL, are at risk after airline Virgin Australia entered voluntary administration on Tuesday.
The news comes at a time when many professional sports are under extreme financial pressure due to the affect of lockdown measures on match fixtures and broadcasts
Virgin’s AFL deal includes flying players, umpires, coaches and officials around the country to matches
The airline also has a multi-million naming rights contract for the Supercars motor racing series, thought to be worth as much as $2m a year.

The airline’s new administrators Deloitte would be expected to examine whether maintaining the contracts make economic sense for the beleaguered carrier, which has been mostly grounded due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Any remnants of Virgin that are resurrected from this will certainly not include the deal the AFL have now.
Virgin will be a Sydney/Melbourne, Sydney/Brisbane, Melbourne/Brisbane service.
Every other route doesn’t make money.
Not a bad thing I suppose, stranding Freo, Eagles, Port, Crows in their respective states.
Maybe the AFL could buy a couple of buses?

Are you taking passenger numbers or profitability?

Got a link?

When were the facilities last upgraded? If they are still like they were when I went there back in 2011 then they might as well keep racing online.
1961 :D

Reynolds spitting the dummy ??
