Like most rumours likely no truth. Apparently he unfollowed Essendon on insta and somehow that tweet found its way into my timeline. This one was a reply to it. The guy is an Essendon fan. I don’t know how it come into my timeline as I have muted most Essendon fans. Somehow their tweets always end up in my timeline.

I ****ing hope we dont get Merritt we already have a player who can rack up 30+ and butcher it and for what he'd cost he ain't worth it and the campaigner would drive most of us insane if he was on our team.

Dodooro would want Petracca & 3 first rounders though

But if we were going to let either Viney or Brayshaw go and we had to throw in something else I wouldn't be crying if it got us Merrett

You need to learn how to read better, if suggest 'mature' body forwards means anyone forward with experience and size doesn't mean a key forward.
Papley would be a mature forward, so would Eddie Betts.

He specifically said “we are down to one tall” and referred to the 19yo Luke Jackson as being “very young and waiting in the wings.“

I kind of thought he meant Jackson still young and underdone last week. Also Petty was unavailable. Brown more a lead up forward. Weideman only one he’s considering last week. Tmac is gone it seems.

I f***ing hate this time of year. No one decent is ever linked to us and if they are, it's literally to eek more $$ put of their current clubs.

Saad, McKay, Merrett etc etc. No chance in hell we're getting these guys. Saad is either eeking more $$ out of Essendon or will go to Richmond now they are interested. McKay is Carlton's #1 forward. Looks set to explode. No way he leaves the Blues. And unless there is another drug saga going on at Essendon, Merrett isn't going anywhere.
