Another year, another MVP. Will we see the breakout season of Jordan Ridley continue into another season of dominance off half back, or will the consistency of Zach Merrett wrench the title back from the young defender, making him a four time champion? Will we see Andrew McGrath take the crown for the first time, or will we have another first time winner? Will I continue to speak in questions? Yes?

Whilst we have low expectations for success this year, we can certainly celebrate those players that break the tedium of mediocrity that seems to have enveloped our club with this award.

This year, the winner receives a room temperature, 3-day old meat tray from the Wheelers Hill RSL, a signed Damian Cupido guernsey, and a Coles Gift Card which has some money left on it. I'm not sure how much, but the front desk can check for you.

THE RULES

As you may well know, after every Essendon match in the AFL™ Toyota™ 2021™ Premiership™ Season™ there will be an MVP thread opened up where you will vote for who you thought were the standout players on the ground. The voting method is very simple. Following this template;

5. BEST ON GROUND
4. 2nd best
3. 3rd best
2. 4th best
1. 5th best

Votes will close around 6-7pm on Thursday or thereabouts. Votes will be tallied and the top 5 vote getters will be our top 5 players for that week.

PLEASE keep in mind that you need to clearly label who gets the 5 votes and so on, just to make it easier for the votes to be counted. If your votes do not follow that format they may not be counted.
