How do you mess up calculating the points that badly where you’ve had weeks to plan this out. Surely one of them had excel open on one of those laptops

The footage from the suns room where they were actively laughing told the full story

The picks were good though but future 2nd loss sucks

The Hawks did not give up a 2026 R2. We straight up gave them the Saints R2 to move up 1 spot and make 2 failed bids.

Nah, I thought the same but red means what the team is trading out and green is what they are getting. If Hawks were giving their pick it would be in our green section and in Hawks red.

and also, its the recruitment team that makes the decisions on players to pick.

we tried, didn't work. barely cost us anything. love the club for trying, but people make it sounds like we lost something. Other clubs have a say on bidding, people!

Probably lost around 12 picks difference in 2nd rd in 2026

Has to be some sort of unwritten rule about early bids because I still can’t understand not bidding on Patterson to make sure of it. We tried to play the game but half arsed it.

We were backed into a corner after that because we’d have missed both Addinsall and Lindsay. Massive waste of what could be a decent pick despite the Saints pickups this year.

Yeah even if one is happy with the outcome it’s impossible to not view this as a stuff up on multiple levels:

-being loose-lipped to the point where everyone was projecting Addinsall to the Eagles and GCS therefore made extra trades to acquire points.
-not extracting maximum points from GCS by failing to bid on Uwland and Patterson as early as possible.
-trading a second round pick with the clear intention of getting Addinsall and then not getting him.

It’s just a complete stuff up in the process and as a result they didn’t get the player they wanted.
