Given how good at hiding their picks in the past WC have been you blokes tell me the more likely scenario:

1. WC leak wanting Addinsall, seeing how GC respond. Once it was evident GC would trade picks in to match they use the bids to flush out said picks and bring forward our own picks. West Coast had Lindsay a step above next best available and traded Saints f2 to secure him.
2. WC wanted Addinsall, leaked it to the media accidentally, didn’t bid on Patterson earlier to flush out more picks, miscalculated how many points GC had to match despite likely having software that does as such and then desperately took Lindsay who we didn’t wantS
