Yep and that was a development decision around keeping senior players around and not overloading the list with even more young kids.

If Banfield/Evans turn out to be A-graders, we'll obviously regret it but as it stands, that's incredibly unlikely.

Like I said you and others, including myself(as I've stated multiple times) had a preference to moving Cripps on to get an extra in the ND but that wasn't the plan to begin with, so it wasn't a 'mistake'.

We started off strong with 4 bids, Duursma and CDT, slipped badly through the middle with stubbornness biting us hard, but came out OK with Fred in the rookie draft.

From a list management POV, given lists are lodged before they know how the draft will go, it turned out to be a chance at FRod with the risk he went elsewhere over the guarantee of Banfield, ultimately.

Hope Rodriguez makes it, could prove to be a huge steal if he can reignite that early hype form.

Think this is a big factor given how staggeringly young the group is, you need some of the kids to be self starters and able to have a little mini leadership core amongst the teenagers.

Probably more effective for maximising them all, rather than expecting our 22 kids under 21 to all click with the seniors right away.
