That's his MO. Call people juvenile and childish, use light time insults in every second sentence and then complain when someone insults back.

That along with completely changing someone else's point and then making it sound like they have a vendetta against whatever they are arguing.

EG. His comments that I am changing the facts to post retirement, when my initial and only arguement is that a guy that is 46 years old and has been retired from the game for 10 years could have handled it with a bit more class. This got a response stating how all champions are w***ers and listed a heap of guys who wouldn't have been paying good money for script writers and had lawyers go over their speeches.

I also keep being told he is the GOAT, even though I mentioned that in my first or second post.

But hey we are all juvenile.

As I said at the start, if a few of you guys want to go down the "Legends should be role models" path, then thats up to you. But first (a) learn something about the other "legends": and (b) get a life and realise that all people have some flaws.

MJ has done more positive things in his life than anyone on here will ever manage. But yeah, his speech could have been vetted for greater audience appeal

The 5 players listed have all been "w***ers" during their lives - I provided some examples of BR's "w***erish-ness"

Your assertion was that "others" have handled similar events with more class - which is simply an opinion and was in fact a direct criticism. For what purpose?? Then you buttressed a view about Mike with examples of players STILL ACTIVE ..... You did add Gretzky who, I agree, seems a classy guy but even he had the highly suspicious gambling case recently that, if proved, would have been a massive scandal!

I mean why should Mike be like Tiger? or like Roger? I simply pointed out that he has shown more class, across his entire career, than most of the other basketball legends - which is fact.

Your further assertion is that his speech was sad because it was an attempt to "make sure people think he is good". This was a completely errant statement. No-one, who has any idea, believes that was or is the case - he knows he is part of the pantheon and he knows everyone knows that.

My point is that you have an agenda and a base position and everything flows from that - either that or you are immature (juvenile if you prefer) and see the world through very very naive eyes. Perhaps both.

By the way, did you see Roger before age 22 or last night? And have you been reading the press about Tigers poor behaviour on course over the last several months (google is your friend)?

I love it when I say something it is opinion yet your opinions are facts.

My "argument" was very simple. It was that Jordan could have handled the speech better.

As for my errant statement numerous people in the media have made similar comments. He definately could have handled the situation better and you go on to include Bird and Magic, 2 players who actually handled it with class and got universal praise for the way it was done (esp. Magic)

I'd love to know what my agenda is though. I mean obviously thinking that 1 speech went very badly means that I have an agenda, either that or I am immature (nice way to mix things up btw!). Anyone who disagrees with you must be immature or have an agenda.

Of course seeing as you are in the minority who think that it was a good speech it could be you that has the agenda. Either that or you just can't see past your blind love for Jordan, which must be said is fairly juvenile.

He has handled 1 situation poorly (IMO of course), was there really a need for such a strong defence to be put up? The simple answer is no. I suspect the real answer for you was "He can't say something bad about Jordan... oh no.... wait ... you ironing your socks, childish, immature fool...I'll show him."
