Interested to hear who people would delist, rookie or offer a new contract (& how long that would be) out of the decent sized list of OOC North players.

For the sake of this discussion let’s say list sizes will drop down to 35 players next season.

What’s the deal with Rookie listed players? Will this be a thing of the past - for the time being anyway?
Happy for anybody else’s input, but let’s say there’s 2(?) rookie spots available in 2021.

Pretty spot on Snake, although I have an issue with keeping all four of Williams, Macmillan, Atley and Pittard on the list beyond this year.

Unless 2 of them are happy to be purely depth players, I’d be looking at parting ways with two of them (my pick would be Pittard and Williams). Key issue from my perspective is ball use, all 4 are below average ball users, with the best being MacMillan who still leaves a lot to be desired. You could make an argument for each of them, however I’ve gone with Macmillan (better ball use then other 3, leadership) & Atley (speed, run & carry).

Just don’t think we can keep carrying all four poor ball using defenders beyond this year.

Not sure how it adds up but agree with Snake except I'd keep Daw and Murphy, and cut one of MacMillan/Pittard and probably Crocker*.

*I don't watch VFL but just my perception of how the club views him.

Jasper was basically the greatest steak knives since Wayne Carey up until 7-8 rounds ago. His detractors must have been hiding in foxholes all this time.

I really wouldn't expect any more than six delistings. People are expecting a full cleanout, which isn't ruled out of being a possibility but I wouldn't be surprised at all either if the club didn't cut as many as people were anticipating.

For my mind those 6 sit very comfortably in the delist category, start or finish there North, I really don't care I trust they'll do the right thing in this coming off-season.

If we have to get down to 35 then I'd be pretty similar to Snakes list except I'd keep Majak (delist Crocker or payout Campbell) and would consider keeping Murphy as well. Would have to choose two out of Crocker, Campbell and Tyson. As both Campbell and Tyson are contracted it would likely be Crocker delisted and payout one of Campbell/Tyson, probably Campbell delisted but it depend on the cost of paying out Tyson and his injuries etc, another factor is the % of the salary cap the club wants to pay.

I really need help with the maths. However many players we have listed now, we have to lose three for draftees plus however many the list is reduced by. How many is that to cross off the OOC list or (less likely) trade out? That’s before anyone started thinking about delisting/retiring players for a cleanout.

I think most in the know are expecting list sizes to be about 40 so we will need to cut 5 on top of what we want to draft so likely 10 total.

Interesting to see what we do with Hall and Tyson also. Even Campbell and Polec. There are a lot of players including the captain who had been kissed on the dick with their contracts.
Joyce’s work may have yet sunk in as to how much it may have crippled us.

I have a feeling that Jmac will hang them up and Marley may well be eased out. Might give Murphy another year.

2 years for Pittard? That's lunacy. 3 for Xerri and Hayden? No where near enough runs on the board for that. 2 for Taylor, Anderson and Scott is sufficient too IMO

People are being asked to delist 10 from a list of 24 and I suspect that many of them are ignorant about Joel.

There's a few I was "compelled" to delist also.

I must be a stupid fan, because I've always liked his output and felt we needed that stable run out of defence.
