I know it is coming up with random stats and if you bring enough stats into it you can make any player look unique and special but apparently Heeney is the only player in AFL/VFL history to get 30+ disposals, 5 goals and 12 clearances in a match.

I have a feeling Leigh’s 38 and 11 goal performance might have touched double digit clearances.

658 disposals and 91 goals. But still not enough for a Brownlow. It has been a joke for pretty much its entire existence. But at least in the past non-midfielders were given a chance.

The reason was in 1976 after winning lots of media awards over the years but no Brownlow, he said that he didn’t really care about the Brownlow as it’s just an umpires award. The umps cracked the shits and only gave him a total of 3 votes (I think) in 1977. Despite the stats you mentioned and 91 goals for the year and averaging about 30 possies per game.
