Channel 7 had Live and Kicking which was their attempt to duplicate the success of The (Thursday) Footy Show.

But I was in primary school so I didn't watch it.

Speaking of 90s one hit wonders.

The Sunday Footy Show was a bunch of grey and white haired old men and sometimes ended with them throwing footballs at each other.

Rex Hunt had a competing show on Channel 7

I'd flick between them but make sure to see the handball segment on Channel 9

Funnily due to the WA time difference sometimes Channel 7 would start showing a live game while Channel 9's panel show was still going.

Both shows might've been as s**t as the present day offerings; I was just a kid.

There was also I'm Rex Hunt and You're Not on Ch7 which was quite a good show.

Both shit and all these shows are just trying to keep bits and pieces of World of Sport alive in football terms. Lou Richards was probably on there just to keep the old stagers that had been watching World of Sport from 60's to late 80's to feel like it was for them too.

In terms of music and sport a lot of early 90's still felt like the 80's just extended.
Was not until mid to late 90's a new era started for both.

Even the nightclub scene did not change much until well into 90's.

Who remembers when you'd buy a jar of Nutella and it had pictures on the glass?

My parents still have a lot of these in their cupboard.

Lol im pretty sure my parents have a couple as well. Pretty much everything in that house is exactly the same when I left it in 2006, except for the lounge suite.

Was never big on Nutella and seeing the cook at after school care use it instead of icing sugar created a lifelong aversion.

The Simpsons stopped being good in the 90s. Kids today probably (and correctly) think it's a big pile of shit.

A post for the upcoming 00s thread: People were in denial about The Simpsons being a big pile of shit and were very defensive about it.

Unpopular opinion maybe but I loved seasons 11 and 12, which was 99 and 00.
I remember the anticipation for season 13 and since I was only 10 or 11 and in love with the Simpsons I found it funny but remember feeling that the show had unravelled and lost its magic.

Season 9 is the cutoff. Goes downhill really quick after that.
