One of my mum's friends was friends with Judith Lucy and they had lunch with Judith, Mick and Tony when they were doing a show in Perth around the time of The Late Show, she knew I was a fan of the show so she got them to write a message to me with their autographs on a beer coaster. She said Judith and Mick were really nice and friendly but Tony was a bit stand offish and looked like he didn't want to be there.

Would be hard to go back to previous decades without the internet if you'd been used to having it, even going back to the 90s with dial up internet would be hard if you were used to broadband speeds.
Late show was worse when Judith Lucy joined the cast, even now when I see her she's mainly terrible.

Remember audio commentaries, the one on the late show best of is good, get some interesting stories.

It seems anything those guys touch turns into gold. The panel was an awesome show, one of the best 'talk' shows weve had out of Australia. Panel late 90s or 2000s?

Always had awesome guests, great musical guests/performances. Some really great guest panelists like Jeff stilson and Harry Shearer.

Unfortunately did introduce us to Kate langbrooke

Judith Lucy is one of the few Aussie female comedians I rate along with Kitty Flanagan and Magda Szubanski.

She wasn't a great fit for the Late Show though, Mick liked her but no one else did, Jane Kennedy was the go to female being Rob Sitch's missus.

Rob had more sway than Mick, just look at Shitscared.

Yeah. I kinda liked Lucy too. She had a good rapport with Mick.
Was good watching them on the ill-fated 4 (? ) episode run of the Mick Molloy show.
It was loose but I liked the kind of abstract chaos to it. But I know im in the minority there.:)

Never rated him. Too over the top

As a comedian I agree....Bi-polar more than likely.

As a serious actor, such as in Good Will Hunting & Dead Poets Society?....Then not at all.

Still way better than TV though.
It is, but nether is tv the be all and end all. It is why would be interesting to live in first decade of last century.
1900 to 1910 would have no tv, radio and internet and maybe the very start of silent films at best.
Would be a whole different experience. No phones either.

One of the great Aussie sitcoms from the early 90s, the Col'n Carpenter Show on Channel Ten, a spinoff from The Comedy Company.

It was very popular amongst dole bludgers and uni students, it was the alternative sitcom to the mainstream Hey Dad type sitcoms of the early 90s.

1900-1910 would be ghastly. No medicine. No welfare. Australia was full of swindlers. Having to read books and newspapers to entertain yourself would be the least problem.

If you're gay, female or/and nonwhite, anything before at minimum 1980 you're going to have a bad time.
