Play was a slow burner, I didn't listen to it that much until the girls I traveled with in 2000 kept playing it, then I thought that's actually pretty good.




I always assumed Moby was English as it was a huge album there, it was called one of the great comedown albums from the pill popping 90s.

I was just getting started on the jack and jills which is probably why I didn't get into it that much.

THIS was the coming down music in the 90s.

I cant even recall when I stopped watching the Simpsons, its been that long.

I cannot recall ever wanting to watch the Simpsons. Probably seen two or three episodes in my life with it on tv at someone else house and always felt meh.. waste of 30 minutes so amused me it was ever popular. I always thought Bart Simpson reminded me of Karl Langdon in the 90's..when seen images of him on all marketing propaganda that people lap up...

Nah the Simpsons was great. Genuinely full of really good characters who were all a bit like, you want more but their small appearances are all you actually need. Some great humour and wit in there. Kirk Van Houten, Krusty, Gil, Moe are my favourites. I love the pathetic sorts.

The 'hur hur stupid cartoon' criticism it got from people (who are probably dead now) is bizarre. Some of the characters and stories were more real than what normal comedies were dishing up in 1989-98. The main four characters (sorry Maggie) were all very depressed at times. Homer almost jumps off a bridge in season 1 and Marge seriously considers cheating on Homer with the French bowler.

I know there are other reasons as well but the show going downhill after Phil Hartman’s characters were retired is not a coincidence.

never seen them but that song was so iconic for the times of tele vision then and what it breed in the minds of those addicted to just sitting in front of box, unconsciously...lol...
still relevant now for those that just come home from school, uni or work and just lap up stuff like...... got Talent etc etc. because they bored and got no other ideas to do with their time

I don't know when I stopped caring about The Simpsons but I'm guessing around the time I finished school, so 2001.

My head is full of mid 90s references but I can't remember anything from the 2000s. Bit of a depressing feeling when you drop a well timed 'I see you've played knifey spooney before' into conversation with an adult and they look at you blankly.

My favourite laugh track sitcom started in 1993.




It stayed good into the next century but turns a bit crappy or prolonged in the last couple seasons.




Frasier ended in 2004 the week after or before Friends did.

Friends is shit and the idea people under the age of about 23 are treating as "The 90s Comedy I Should Watch" is ****ing sad.

seriously got to be bored, I could not even handle a few episodes of A Rude Awakening late at night, less chance to watch this too.

If I ever got bored and lazy maybe a few episodes of Becker or Cheers would watch but I just could not be bothered with much comedies or tv dramas of this decade. Too many other things to do. Was probably playing lots of indoor cricket most of this time..lol
VCR was set if anything ever on that liked but most of it seemed sport or docos
