I was in the States when Columbine happened back in 1999, I was living in Virginia at the time and not Colorado but it still felt a lot closer to home.

The other big disaster when I was there in 1999 was Norm's tv show debuting on ABC.

I flew out of America a week before 9/11. And I flew out of Denver about a week also before that Dark Knight shooting.
/no not saying it could have been me, but yeah, was just a bit of an eerie feeling.

And i was so fking relieved I did not have to fly out of the States post 9/11, once the airports got re-opened.

Kevin Spacey was another great actor from the 90s, The Usual Suspects, Seven and American Beauty.

He also did a great Pacino impression on The Joe Pesci Show.

Whatever happened to him? He seemed to drop off the radar all of a sudden.

What happened to Kevin Spacey? You serious?

What do you find amusing?
****ing heaps, including Plugger's horrid taste in music and so called comedy...lol

Blackadder
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Trains, Planes and Automboiles just to name a few of a zillion actual funny things.
Everyday life has even more than tv and movies.

My fave 5 U2 songs (but in no order)

- Mysterious ways
- Desire
- Elevation
- Sunday bloody Sunday
- Beautiful Day

I heard Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me the other day, was never a huge fan of the song or the band but I had a massive rush of nostalgia listening to it. Obviously must have been pretty prevalent in the background of my life at the time

Are you serious?

He got accused of sexual harassment toward a male colleague.

Spacey is the king of impressions though. He's brilliant, as an actor too.

I wasn't being serious, of course I knew that, they had to reshoot that film All the Money in the World to replace Spacey after that scandal broke.

A mate of mine swears Spacey tried to grab his Johnson while at a bar in St. Tropez years ago.

Haha oops.

He is phenomenal in The Usual Suspects. What a movie.

Kobayashi.

Meh. Oh well.

What did you do?
Just worked a bar, it was a live in job and he and his boyfriend treated me far better than I deserved most of the time so I lumped it. It wasn't as if he was going to get his hands on the unadorned goods.

That was back when REM were still cool, then they sold out in the 90s with Out of Time and Automatic for the People with songs your mother would like.

Oh man, no. If there's one band who never sold out, it's REM. AFTP is an absolute masterpiece of an album. Think of what was happening at the time, Ten and Nevermind just released, hair metal still hanging on, and they release a pure and delicate masterpiece that takes a swipe at consumer culture, dealing with death and loss and memories, and string arrangements. Magic.
