Should have made the move over the weekend as the afl did. But considering the teams were not going to leave till the end of the month it does make sense that they had waited. Ffa has apologised and will of course meet all requests. Its farcical situation but that is 2020 for you.

FFA receive official exemption from the NSW Government
Football Federation Australia (FFA) today confirmed that it had officially received an exemption under the NSW Public Health Order for the players and high performance staff of Melbourne City FC, Melbourne Victory and Western United FC to travel to NSW to complete the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season.
As part of the conditions of the exemption, all three (3) teams will undertake 14 days of quarantine, in an agreed facility, which will allow players to train and prepare before being able to take part in the competition.
FFA Chief Executive Officer James Johnson thanked the NSW Government for their understanding and support with this request.
“I would personally like to thank the NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian, and NSW Heath Minister, Brad Hazzard, for granting this exemption during these extraordinary times,” Johnson said.
“We understand our responsibilities to the people of NSW now this exemption has been granted and our clubs will continue to adhere to the strict COVID-safe protocols that they have been observing since early June for the remainder of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season.”
“Greg O’Rourke and the team have worked extremely hard during the coronavirus pandemic, and we have overcome considerable challenges to get ourselves back on track to complete the season.
“I would also like to thank the three clubs from Victoria, their players and staff, as well as their families at home, who have been flexible and done everything possible, with much sacrifice, to ensure they are able to complete the season.
“Now that we have certainty that all our clubs will be ready for the restart, we will look to modify our match schedule accordingly to give all teams the opportunity to perform at their best.”
“The three Victorian teams will now prepare to depart for Sydney as soon as possible,” Johnson concluded.

Yes the players will all now need to quarantine for 14 days but will be allowed to train in their confined dormitory setup that is proposed.

Victorian A-League players arrive in NSW

The A-League's Victorian travel fiasco has come to an end with players and staff from three clubs arriving in NSW from Melbourne on Saturday morning.
The approximately 120 players and staff from Melbourne Victory, Western United and Melbourne City will now head into a 14-day quarantine period before they are allowed to complete their remaining 2019-20 fixtures.
The three teams assembled at AAMI Park on Saturday before boarding a charter flight to Sydney.
The interstate trip comes after two aborted attempts to leave the state earlier this week, which drew heavy criticism from the players' union (PFA) and led to FFA head of leagues Greg O'Rourke accepting his job may be under scrutiny.
After the botched attempts to depart coronavirus-hit Melbourne on Monday and Tuesday, the FFA received travel exemptions from the NSW government late on Thursday.
The all-clear to fly out on Saturday was given after Western United's most recent COVID-19 swabs were cleared on Friday, ensuring all those travelling had met the health protocols to head to NSW.
Victory chief executive Trent Jacobs said in a statement on Friday the failed attempts to exit the state on Monday and Tuesday had been tough for those involved.
"The events of Monday and Tuesday night have been incredibly frustrating, and compromised our players and staff," Jacobs said.
"I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our players, coaches, staff and all their families for the exceptional way in which they've handled the challenges and unknowns of this extremely stressful week.
"While our club was disappointed with what transpired, we have remained focused on working together with FFA and the Victorian clubs to find a solution."
During their quarantine period, the players will be allowed to train but cannot play any matches.
Thursday's match between Victory and Western United will have to be rearranged due to the quarantine period now being in effect.
That will mean Friday's match between leaders Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix at Jubilee Stadium will be the first fixture played since the league was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
At least two other early games face rescheduling - Western United's clash with City on July 20 and Western Sydney's game against Victory on July 22.
United sit sixth with six games remaining and face a jam-packed schedule, while 10th-placed Victory have five matches to go. Second-placed City have just three regular-season games left.
With a competition window that can be extended until August 30, FFA's head of leagues Greg O'Rourke remains confident the remaining 27 regular season fixtures and finals can still be accommodated despite the quarantine period.

Haha yeah my thoughts on talay exactly. Its like victory and everyone else going after pop even though he is tied down to the glory. Talay also seem like a guy (as seen by moving his family over there) who is going to stuck with the side as long as possible/needed.He's moved his family to Wellington...
Anyway, DELLAS?!??

The A-League's horror week finally ended when the three Melbourne clubs landed in Sydney on Saturday morning to begin a 14-day quarantine period after gaining exemptions to travel into NSW.
A-League boss Greg O'Rourke and his team are now working on a plan to revamp the draw and will extend the season by a week to allow Melbourne Victory, Western United and Melbourne City the chance to compete for the title on equal terms.
That means the grand final will now most likely take place on the last weekend of August rather than on August 23, as was originally programmed when the revamped fixture list was announced earlier this month.
League bosses built in a margin for error when they finalised the restart programme and gave themselves a week to rejig fixtures if something went wrong - as it did on Monday and Tuesday when the three Victorian sides twice made unsuccessful attempts to get to Sydney before the borders closed.
The original scheduling did not envisage City, Western and Victory having to spend two weeks in isolation - only allowed out to train - before they could begin their remaining games. The quarantine period commences on Sunday, meaning none of the trio is able to play until July 26.
Victory and Western were due to kick-off the restarted competition next Thursday at AAMI Park but Victoria's coronavirus spike put an end to that. The opening fixture will be next Friday night when runaway league leaders Sydney take on Wellington Phoenix, who currently sit third on the ladder.
Western has six games remaining, Victory five and City, who are second on the table, have just three.
The first match programme envisaged the regular season finishing on August 12 but the quarantine period means that, unless rejigged, Western would face six games in 18 days. The A-League new boys currently sit right on the bubble of a finals berth and they have argued strongly that such an arduous workload would put them at a major disadvantage.
The current collective bargaining agreement with the players' union runs out on August 30, so the A-League wants to complete the competition by then.
O'Rourke met with the players and club officials after they landed and were taken to a hotel where all three will stay together for the next fortnight.
The players will only be allowed out of their hotel complex to train, with Marconi Stadium and Valentine Park the designated training centres.
Security will be the major focus as NSW seeks to avoid a second wave of the virus that has crippled Victoria. Police will escort the teams from their hotel to the training venues and back again, with the FFA footing the bill under a user pays arrangements with NSW police.
"We are working on re-drawing the fixture and we do have some flexibility, so we hope to be able to publish that at the start of next week," O'Rourke said.

A Melbourne Victory player exhibited COVID-19-like symptoms on arrival in NSW on Saturday and was tested yesterday for the virus.
The test results came back negative, but health protocols have dictated that staff and players from Victory, Melbourne City and Western United were all today retested.
If those tests are all clear the teams will be allowed to resume training on Tuesday.
While awaiting clearance they are consigned to their hotel rooms.
A-League chief Greg O’Rourke said they would be retested again in midweek and then again 11 days into their 14-day quarantine period before the resumption of action, as per a revised draw due to be released imminently.
“There was always going to be three cycles of tests,” said O’Rourke. “Nobody is currently showing any symptoms.
“One player got tested (earlier) and was negative.
“As as soon as the (latest mass) tests come in they’ll be able to start training.
“We’re re-tweaking the draw which will probably extend out by six calendar days to accommodate Western United who have six games remaining.”
This latest hiccup is the last thing A-League chiefs wanted after the debacle of two previous attempts last week to depart Melbourne ahead of NSW closing its border to Victorians.
Their first attempt was thwarted by fog at their intended destination in Canberra and their second scuppered by a change of quarantine regulations in the ACT. On both occasions frustrated players were forced to turn back after making it only as far as Tullamarine Airport.

The teams will train at the nearby venues of Valentine Park and Marconi Stadium.
