Just interesting to hear your thoughts about this kid. I honestly believe he has the potential to be Australias next spin bowler.

Hoping to see him get a CA contact ahead of Dan Cullen next time they are handed out.

Anyway, feel free to post your thoughts on the kid.

The bloke has it, but it's always hard for an Australian finger spinner to do it at the top level. Dan Cullen looked like he has it at one stage as well, but in the end, the difficulty of the art, compound with the fact that Australia's probably the hardest place to bowl finger spin, cripples most finger spinners we've ever had

Dare I say the last decent left arm tweaker we had was AB ;)

Interesting also, that he does most of his work in the West, where pace is king.

Would he have a better chance of higher honours if he was playing interstate on friendlier pitches? SA? QLD?

If Heal cant cut it then Cullen Bailey certainly cant either.

Bailey is well behind Dan Cullen in the SA pecking order.....says it all really.

& as for left arm orthadox spinners not cutting it in Aus......times change.

Iv all ways thought this kid goes allright, I think his the next one in line -Stuart, Hogg, Heal,
I think he will get game when the 2 above him call it a day, lets hope its sooner rather that later,
The sooner this kid gets a go the better, Why dont they get him in so they can have a young spin bowler for the future . Rather when is 28-29 and he would only have a few years in him..

Yep and follow the lead of Beau Casson who moved to NSW to push for higher honours, but has done bugger all since?

Interesting to note that Heal said that if Casson hadn't left WA, he would have probably gone to NSW himself, so he can thank Casson for letting him have time to shine

For a left arm finger spinner to really cut it he must be able to turn the ball. I know that is stating the obvious, but most finger spinners bowl far too fast and don't even turn the ball unless it is the last day and they are bowling into the rough.

Vettori seems to go alright without turning the ball masses, slightly different in Aus of course but still, if you can extract bounce it's also useful

lol mcgain is tearing it up in the first class competition and folks are discussing some random from the amateurs....
