Gee, didn't mind Hussey or Lee. Michael Clarke to head the team, Peiterson... these changes are not for the better IMO Only positive is getting some international presence on the team.

I thought KP was fairly decent in the BBL.

He's an arrogant flog for sure but I don't think he's anywhere near the point of discussing pizza on air

He was OK and quite funny at times but I think a lot of it had to do with the candid stuff he revealed about his relationship with the England team. Not sure how he will go just as a general commentator overall. Prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt I suppose. I Have a feeling his laugh is going to grate on me after a while though!

Pietersen has a decent cricket brain when he's not talking about himself, and how its everyone elses fault that he's fallen out with almost everyone he played with.

I took 'headed' to mean that of the incoming crew he's the most known one, rather than describing his actual role.

I dare say Lee's replacement will be a woman, who probably heads up the cricket show & maybe tea & some boring sponsor stuff. C9 probably won't be radical enough to actually put a woman in the commentary box (Tbf to C9, C10 had Mel Jones doing the WBBL who was very good, and they still couldn't bring themselves to give her anything pther than a boundary line role for the BBL, which she performed far better in than anyone else has)

I'm pretty interested in hearing Waqar to be honest.

Especially since he was coaching the Pakistani team until recently.

He would be good value, but I think he needs those around him to generate that conversation, and im not sure thats going to happen (especially whilst Davey Warner is batting)

People reference the pizza thing too much now tbh. Sure it was annoying and inane at the time but nearly two years ago now and the world has changed still managed to keep spinning. Channel 9 do it too much and their lack of knowledge re touring sides is appalling but there's actually a fair bit of room for s**t talking in test cricket commentary; Kerry O'Keefe did it perfectly.

lol I remember seeing Waqar at Coles. Biggest wtf ever for me.

Clarke and Warne together with Slats will be the most painful thing in commentary history after the Danny Morrison, Sunil Gavaskar and Shivaramakrishnan trio.

I'm not big on KP only because of the whole potential Shane Warne, KP love in than will annoy us at no end. I would rather Graham Gooch (When he commentates, he's amazing) or Graeme Swann. But at least no Wasim or Rameez.

But KO'K (on radio) was just one s**t talker on a commentary team full of straight men, the Ch9 crew is the opposite.
