Do you really think that the case here? Do you think I'm saying all criticism of Adam Goodes is invalid because of the treatment of Indigenous people in this country since settlement?

Even a cursory glance at my argument would suggest otherwise. Large sections of Australian society don't understand the trauma of the last two hundred years of Australian history. When presented with the facts, particularly by an outspoken Indigenous man, they get defensive because they think it means they'll lose something.
when i say 'you' i mean people on your side of the argument not you specifically. should have clarified...

His explanation was that he was going to use it playing for the indigenous all stars to show his pride in his culture and for the under 16 kids (WHO CAME UP WITH THE DANCE) but didn't get a chance to do so because he missed that game in the off season. So he did it after kicking a goal on indigenous round. It was slightly provocative but geez...
Punish people for how Adam Goodes perceives them.

Don't punish Adam Goodes for how people perceive Adam Goodes.

I'll quote him for you. No mention of incite. Please quote that:

Speaking at the team's recovery session on Saturday, Goodes said the dance was inspired by the AFL's under-16 indigenous side called the Boomerangs.

"I haven't had the opportunity to do the war cry... and show that passion and pride about being a warrior and representing my people," Goodes said.

"It wasn't something that was pre-meditated. Lewis Jetta and myself had a chat on Thursday that we wanted to represent on Friday night, we wanted to do a dance.

"It's a shame that Lewis couldn't get on the board because he had something planned as well.

"There was nothing untoward to the Carlton supporters.

"[But] for me it had to be towards opposition and say here I am, take me as I am.

"Guys can cheer, boo, whatever. Take it as it is."

He brought race into it though by making it an aboriginal only dance.
Incorrect. He brought race into it by being aboriginal - which I suspect is part of the reason so many have such an issue with it. He is what he is. May as well complain that he didn't do the Haka.

Name a white player that has done what Goodes has done? There is no comparison to the accumulation of dislike for Adam Goodes.
Name me another black player who gets booed like Goodes?

Sorry what? How are Barry Hall or Leigh Matthews comparable to Goodes?
And thanks for confirming there are no black players booed like Goodes. Think we can put the 'racist' claims to bed then.

Once again you fail to provide support for your statement and resort to childish replies. It's obvious you made it up, so I'm finished with you.

He didn't do it as a goal celebration. He did it as a celebration of his culture.

As per the man:

Was there consideration for a team oriented line dance, somethng that even the crowd could join in?

He heard it.
He turned
He saw it was a young girl
He pointed her out

What is wrong with you
As he should have.

Also he and most reasonable people would understand he wasn't calculating age, and how this had a baring on being vilified in these seconds, let alone in indigenous round.

I didn't boo anyone.

I'm not " the problem " here.

Your constant excusing of this booing is the REAL problem here.
Tell me again how you shouldn't judge people on how they look

.......

Having seen her mum the other day , it's a very real prospect that she didn't :D
Hypocrite

And you seem to miss the point

I am not for or against the booing .....
I'm against the insinuation that the people that booed were racist.

He has stated he knew it was a "young face" when he turned around.
Why do you feel the need to defend this ?
It's a fact.
Goodes obviously was quite happy to continue to press the issue despite her age.

I can't say I've heard as such, i wouldn't speak for the team.

I thought there is plenty of crowd particpation and inclusion with teammates through out the round. Why can't two blokes also do something of their own volition to celebrate who they are? As Jetta intended to do so as well.

Why aren't Noel Pearson, Mick Dodson or David Wirrpanda scolded in this way? Because they are well-educated and respected individuals in their fields - law, academia, society etc. Their standing and experience equips them with the necessary hardware to approach the issue like men that live in the real world that, like it or not, is run by the White Man in this country. Adam is like a little boy that is angry at this world and doesn't know how to express himself. Had he directed his War Dance towards his adversaries (the Carlton players) and not the fans, I don't think anyone would have had a problem with it because they coveted the same thing - victory on the battlefield that was the SCG. His post-game justification of being "proud to represent" was just nonsense. That was no celebration; it was provocative and a call to arms. "You want my land? Come and take it". I thought Pemulwuy died 200+ years ago. In all of this, I think Adam's War Dance is emblematic of his mindset; he loathes the White Man.

He is ill-equipped to handle the ramifications of his behaviour because he is an athlete and not a politician. We love you for the way you glide across the 'G effortlessly, but this doesn't give you the right to regularly demonstrate your bitterness towards the White Man. What exactly do you want today's White Man to do, Adam? He is decades removed from the White Men you have a problem with. This is why you should leave the crusading to the likes of Pearson, Dodson and Wirrpanda to a certain extent - be realistic.

There is no doubt we have a dark, shameful history - the murder of 100,000 Aboriginals in the Frontier Wars, the lack of voting rights until the late 1960s and the "Stolen Generation" to name a few - and most White Men of today would readily admit that, perhaps best exemplified by the successful referendum re those voting rights. But, to echo the sentiments of many other posters, we don't go to the football to be lectured by someone that, in all fairness, isn't exactly "across the field" in an academic sense in what he is standing up for.

We should boycott the abomination that is the AFL in the 21st century until they get their act together. Enough is enough. Granted we all love our clubs and the game, but the essence of the game is dead in the cities. Embers of Australian Rules exist at grassroots level but they are slowly fading. This attempt to put the clamps on our freedom of speech is just PC gone mental. Cop the eggs from the Sydney fans and cop the ejection from Big Brother if you feel the need to boo Adam Goodes. People power will speak louder than the spin-doctored words of some ass-kissing AFL captains. Furthermore, the lack of a spectacle augments the undercurrent of fan discontent. The issue of 'fan engagement' is far deeper than the superficiality of "Make Some Noise" signs and cheaper food. Switch off Channel 7, can Fox Footy and stop clicking on Fairfax/News Corp AFL pages. Up yours Oakley, Andrew, Gillon, Fitzpatrick and Kielty. These men are so far detached from the typical Australian football fan it is not funny. Rhodes Scholars, pigs with political influence and a polo playing management consultant with a diamond-encrusted bed have been running this asylum for too long. I acknowledge the need for a robust business model (as we all acknowledged was needed in the late 80s), but it has gone too far.

Call me racist. Ban me. Hurl eggs at me. I can't be the only one that feels this way.
Please show me where he has demonstrated bitterness towards the white man?
