There was a time not too long ago when Goodes himself proclaimed the boos did not affect him. That he saw it as a mark of respect that he was being targeted with booing. I make this point and its ignored. Why is that?

So it's clear he tried to shrug them off and just get on with his footy, but it's got to the point where he's cracking?

Yeah cool, let's boo louder and crush the guy! Great plan.

Honestly, I think you might've "misinterprated" what this site is about. The fact that it's a forum does not in fact mean that anyone is interested in what you have to say.

Yes. People are going to conclude(for the 1000th time) that you're not very intelligent. **** me, you even stand out in SA shitfights on bay 13.
I've seen your form on the Bay too blossom
Let's say your intended slur is of absolutely no consequence to me.
If you want to address the issues and refute any of my comments feel free.
But if it's a personal attack you're intent on, I would suggest to you that this is not the Bay and you refrain.

You can't begrudge the Carlton fans to boo because a player did a war dance towards them and they also didn't know what it meant. The problem is why every other team's fans are all of a sudden booing him when he hasn't done the war dance to them, not to mention the fact that he explained with proof was something completely harmless?
the question is: if there are racists everywhere (a given) then why aren't sydney swans supporters booing him?

a) there are no racists in sydney.

b) it's not a racial thing.

You don't own me and you don't get to tell me what I should or should not do. You say far more about yourself than I ever could.

I posted it for general information for people to use it as a filter and if necessary a mirror. It is high time that people had a good hard look at what is being said and themselves and assess many of the things being posted here.
I dont think posting random but useful information is going to get through to a bunch of people who feel that booing someone is a mature thing to do.

And as a society are we not obliged to correct those mistakes?

Goodes could not have handled that particular incident any better.
We've been going around in circles with these clowns for days now.

The moral to their story is that kids can do what they want, without consequence, because they're kids. We are stupid for thinking otherwise.

Bullshit.

He heard the word, and (rightfully) pointed the person out.

Was he supposed to calmly and slowly figure out the details of this person before coming to the conclusion it was a racial slur? And if he did do that, is he then to conclude that because it was a 13yo girl, it was ok?

Look I have my problems with Goodes, but those taking the 'it's ok to boo him because of his reaction to a racial slander'.... yeah, you're racist.
Goodes to the media:

"Hello all, I would like to address a taunt that was directed at me in tonights game. This person in the crowd called me an Ape. Whether at the time of calling me an ape this person knew it had racist connotations attached to it is up for debate. That's why I would like to take this oppotunity to educate people and let them know that calling someone of my heritage and ape is hurtful"

Something like that.
