They didn't have Coopers Red on tap and I'm not a huge fan of the Pale ale. Nothing wrong with West End for me
I’d rather drink water from the Torrens River 😂

It will do me just fine!

One thing I don’t get is why does Adelaide always have beef and chicken schnittys on the pub menus. Melbourne you only ever get chicken. It’s a great thing for me, I prefer a beef one, just interesting.
If you want to be really technical, a Weiner Schnitzel is veal and a German one is usually pork.

I'm sure chicken is more of an Aussie/Kiwi thing.

Yeah I figure it's something to do with the German lineage over here. You can get veal schnitzels and parmas at Italian restaurants in Melb sometimes, basically beef ones don't exist at pubs though

They used to do a calamari schnitzel in my town a few years ago

They used to make a porterhouse shnitty at our local years ago.

Like a whole crumbed, flattened porterhouse steak. OMG was amazing

On SM-S908E using BigFooty.com mobile app

Yeah I went to the butcher at Henley Square and they had crumbed porterhouse there. Really good butcher that one, got some of the bacon he smokes himself, the scotch fillet was epic too.

Love that butcher. Not hideously expensive either.

Family friends of ours opened a business called Ponde meats, great pricing and great tasting meat. I believe they even deliver to Adelaide.

My favourite butcher!

Westfield Marion currently in a lockdown, reports of armed people in David Jones about an hour ago. No reports of injuries yet thankfully.

I wasn't sure where to post but this seemed the appropriate place.

I think Hahndorf while has some character and charm about it has become an over-inflated pretentious Adelaide Hills weekend getaway. Was there on Saturday passing through to Kaitpo Forest and regret going through there. Way too many people, streets too narrow and congested and fwiw ruins the charm that should be. It seems to be the one place everyone raves about and the tourist hotspot again makes it less than appealing. I ended up stopping at Meadows and the bakery there was one of the best I've ever been to. Don't regret it.

Strathalbyn is sort of going that way too. Tanunda can be a little bit overwhelming tourist wise too.

Away from the crowds, they're all good places to visit, just the crowds like every where else ruin it.

Parking in Hahndorf is ridiculous, council have bought a block of land and are going to build parking spots in it. My grandparents lived there in the 80’s and 90’s and it’s definitely not as charming as it used to be.

I haven’t really done enough of SA.
Been there for the footy twice.

Went to some place close to the city waterfall and bush walking tracks.
Can't remember where.

Victor harbour.
Some coastline areas.
Some good bakery's along that way.

Missed kangaroo Island sadly.
We both got super sick.

Pik-a-Pie is a quality bakery. Better than Port Elliott (still a good bakery, but the line-ups are ridiculous).

Agreed overall, there's plenty of nice, charming towns in the hills yet Hahndorf is the one so many gravitate too despite being a tourist trap.

Meadows bakery is the best. They had about 60 different pies
10/10

Yankalilla was also very good. I personally don't think much of the ones in the Barossa

WAs about 20 people there but well worth it. Such a hidden gem Meadows because everyone's beating their ..... about Hahndorf.

That's what I hate about Instagram culture. It's become all about the quick perfected photograph. I'm doing a lot of hiking and travelling and the number of people doorstopping attractions is insane.

Flinders Ranges interest me.
I like nature and hiking.

Kangaroo Island.

I'd have to do my research if I was doing a road trip other the boarder.
So far in my hiking journey post realization that combat sports aren't sustainable I'd say Grampians is the best by a mile.

The two major hikes I did there were insane.

In SA, the Chambers Gully hike is the best in Mt Lofty because of the vantage point, Mt Crawford is also very diverse and I enjoyed that.

IN SA the ones I've done

1. Chambers Gully
1.5 Fleurieu hike (Heysen Trail)
2. Alligator Gorge (Flinders)
3. Mt Remarkable (Flinders
4. Mt Crawford (Heysen Trail)
5. Kaiser Stahl (Heysen Trail, the private land part, and the road that goes through all the wineries)

I've got a long way to go. I'm mapping out on Google Earth all of my next trips, mapped out all my done trips.

I'm keen to do the 3/4 day heysen trail on the Fleurieu for a multi day trip.

I dis like instead reels.

But they get a he'll of a lot of views.

They show you a cool pic look where I am.
Not how they got there or much info.

Some of the reason I set up my own YT CH.
But its more of a hobby for me.
