The afl app is even worse than it normally is this year.

expecting a good solid service from the afl or telstra you're going to have a bad time
Have managed to watch one presser/highlights vid from about 15 attempts thus far.

I live in the UK ffs, not Uzbekistan. When it did work the video quality was so poor I switched off.

I've run out of words for how shit the AFL website is. The only good thing about it is the survey pop-up that asks me how likely I am to recommend afl.com.au to friends and family.

I'm usually not very kind in my appraisal.

I swore off the app a few years ago but thought I'd revisit it considering Richmond aren't on FTA for 3 out of 4 rounds currently. I paid for a monthly subscription and from what I've seen so far I won't have it for any more than the month. Nothing's improved.

I downloaded and installed it last week and this week it decides to reinstall itself while I'm trying to connect. Then the thing's upside down on the Ipad and won't rotate, which doesn't sound like much but of course, when I sit the Ipad upside down to watch the game it sits on the volume button and mutes it. The quality wavers, which is why, I guess, it won't allow FULL SCREEN where it'd be even more noticeable. I do not care one iota about the worm or who the leading players are, I can work all that out myself.

I no longer watch AFL, I watch FUAFL.

PS. Doesn't Pav sound like Dermie, God forbid!

why does the pause button show up while I'm watching? Why can't I chromecast to my tv anymore? Why is it taking so long to load when I have 100mbps internet with 5ghz wifi?

So it's round 5 and they still haven't fixed the issue that prevents you from watching the match replays on their desktop website even though you have an AFL Live pass. ACCC would likely be more than happy to hear about how Telstra/AFL are failing to deliver the service that you pay for (whether through a subscription or through your Telstra mobile plan)

Thought it was just me. It actually worked for about a week too, rd 1 or 2 I think, but now its pretty much as hopeless as hopeless gets.

Before the season started I watched a few videos in the AFLs Samsung VR environment. Now it tells me that I don't have a live pass even though I am logged in using my live pass.

There is a little section called "why isn't my livepass working?" I clicked on it to find a very poorly worded direction to undertake some administrative process by which i would log in twice in different systems or something. It is unfathomable to the casual reader. it needs a flowchart.

I am stuck on the bit where it says I have to get a declaration of my grandmothers shoe size certified in triplicate by the indian commissioner of railways.

For anyone that wants anything besides actually watching the footy through a live pass, I recommend any one of Footy Live, Fox Sports or Triple M Footy as a superior alternative app.
