Rigoni desisted and going to the Pies. Bit of a shame, had some solid games this year and with our list changes probably would've got a bit more of a chance of consistent games in future.

With her Colivn, Johnson, D Taylor gone assume we'll be looking for defenders/HBs at the draft.
deesisted D_77...?

Seem like some good pick ups

I generally don't like going to the draft/trading without a coach yet, but probably is all planned for throughout the year

Both increasingly showed their age this season, but kinda nice to have them go around again. Paxy could be our first 100 gamer?
I think Goldrick was alight, i think her returning from injury and then injuries showed more than her age. Still gave a hard edge we needed at times

Paxy, is probably nearing the end and it could be argued is already there

Apparently we've made a pitch to Brett Ratten to coach

I kind of forgot but us and Richmond are still hunting for a coach

I'm not concerned at this point as we are well into a long AFLW off season, but it would be ideal to hear from the club in some capacity of how the search is going? Asides from the Ratten offer that was reported outside the club there has been nothing

A NEW era of Melbourne’s women’s program has begun, with the appointment of Katrina Gill as the club’s AFLW general manager.

Gill joins the Demons after spending the past 15 years at the Adelaide Football Club, most recently as the Crows’ AFLW general manager of list management and operations.

Throughout her time in Adelaide, Gill oversaw the club’s football department administration and list strategy, including contract negotiations and draft preparation.

Funny how in the mens we apparently didn't progress far with Gia because he's been coaching from poor performing clubs and we wanted applicants from good teams to go with good credentials

Meanwhile in the women's we appoint someone from the pies which finished bottom four last year and spoon before that

Anyways good luck to him, hopefully goes better than the last assistant we pulled out of the pies and made a senior coach (although that is a very low bar to clear)

Seemed to take forever so I suppose it must've been a comprehensive process (hopefully). Pies are ordinary in the W, but their list isn't much chop especially with Davey being hurt the best part of 3 seasons.

Look forward to seeing how the team goes. We've got a decent mix of experience and youth so should be a good platform for the new coach to work with.

“VFL star “ Anyway we’ll see how it goes . Interested to see how Pearce handles the new ball up rule in the centre.
Tbh I think Loz will become a backup this year. Campbell has been a slow burn but I reckon has shown enough to take the #1 spot now, with Pearce's body sadly letting her down more often.

Hose has also been on the list 2 years injured I think, so must be highly rated and could make the jump?
