Disappointing but nowhere near surprising. We're just not as good as our ladder position suggests. We're more like a bottom half of the 8 side. I'll keep saying it, as soon as Purcell got injured we were no chance of winning the flag.

Well, i don't think it's the end of the world. But unfortunately we have not done much to suggest we aren't flat track bullies at this point in time. We love beating on weak sides at home but on the road we've fallen to often

And very vulnerable to sides that love contested, sloggy games. Freo, Port, Brissy choked us with pressure and we didn't hack it. Bombers and Pies turned the games into scraps and we struggled. We are great when the game can open up but lack the inside grunt to get it on our terms often enough.

Purcell huge loss. Cant replace someone like that.

Yeah, she'd have been a huge difference for us. Still think everyone has been playing for 2nd all year given Norf's dominance. The comp has evened out a lot this season (bar the Roos), so not entirely unsurprising to lose a couple close ones. But so annoying it happens basically the same way each time.

AFLW has had horrible umpiring since inception, not sure if it'll change anytime soon.

Agreed. It's mindboggling some of the decisions and non decisions. Might have been our game last week. I reckon Harford said a dozen or more times thats a free kick there I would have thought. Then they'd pull one out of thin air. The women's game is hard enough to watch without the sh**y umpiring. Looks like crowds are way down as well. AFL need to sort this out. You can't have a comp either where one team doesnt lose in 2 years.
