Must be near the end. I haven’t seen her bend down all year, and she’s not quick enough to get away with itIs it just me or does Paxman never want to tackle anymore?
Yeah would've been pretty poetic either way - Randall in maybe her last game shooting for a miracle, but I like the version we got!Fun game to watch. Some scrappy stuff but big moments. Pretty close throughout so a good watch.
And that tackle! Not often you see a game end on a high, and it’s a tackle

Sort of tackle you get delisted for!Fun game to watch. Some scrappy stuff but big moments. Pretty close throughout so a good watch.

I love Bannan but feel the last two seasons she hasn’t been played to her strengths.Well, that honestly in retrospect was a good final. Those frees that gave the crows a run on was shit, but the response is what we wanted. It was tough, aggressive and mean football in the third quarter, then grinded it out home. Lets be real the weight of the club was bearing down on the girls, i know some people don't watch and jump off after AFL, but they've had the weight among the supporter base with the straight sets exits
The game somewhat panned out how i thought it was. I've said Adelaide are cooked all year and i didn't think they would run out the game well at all. That said I was worried when the umpires gave them a lot of momentum. They're still a good enough side to grind it out from a good position, but i was happy we were able to run out the game over them and also win those big contested moments
Bests imo
1 Hore - Head and shoulders above the rest
2 Heath - Big lift from her, did the hard work and laid the tackles. But used her pace really well to explode free
3 Fitzsimons - Could have put a few others here, but just consistently worked hard all day. Came up a lot to the stoppage a lot and had a few clearances. Her support run was also great, just knows where to put herself these days
The rest
Wotherspoon, could have easily been my third best on. Just cracking in since half way through last week. She is such a good prospect for her size. She's going to get better
Mahony, Best game i've seen her place. Really excelled as a small forward today. Brought her best. Break out game in a final
Gillard, Also just amazing. Her actions clearly inspire the group
Mackin, did a lot of grunt stuff. Her core strength served her well. Good tackles
Pearce, honestly for just being beaten up all day and fronting up
McNamara, As if often the case gut runner. Would have her higher if she could dispose of it better. Very fumbly today
Goldrick, honestly just brings her pace and competitiveness. Brings a hard edge to the game we need
O'Heir, while not a lot of it, didn't shy away from big moments. The only knock i have on her today was dropping the kick from Paxman
Everyone else was serviceable, Hanks had a shocker but kept trying
Bannan, again is my favourite and she is a bit of a heart and soul player, but realistically after today you'd think she probably should give way to Zanker. She's not going great as a tall although she did compete and bring some balls to ground, and she isn't using her weapons which is her speed for her size. Although i don't think Mick will drop her
Someone add the titanic music to this, k thx - PerfectFooty
I like that.Fitzsimons seems to be going up to the stoppages more today
Yep... of our own making.Bit of panic down back
Mahony shows good ball use... and hands away from her body & the tackler, so they can't be pinned.Mahony has been okay as a small forward crumbing in the last couple of games
Our fumbling of our handballs invited huge pressure to bare from the Crows from about halfway thru the 1st Qtr.Positive start, allowed Adelaide back into the game after tiring after bringing the heat. Handy late goal. Gotta reset and go again, don't allow them to have a run in this term
Totally agree.FOR ****S SAKE UMPIRES, IT'S A AFLW FINAL
Yeah we're not doing great but you are turning the momentum of play completely to an uncatchable lead
I think she's trying to keep her feet, so she can be in the right spot to cause the opposition to use the footy in a direction that helps us.Is it just me or does Paxman never want to tackle anymore?
... that's not saying a lot.Crows handballs are better than us . Their passing into forwards looks more organised than us as well .
equal best on ground imv.Heath up to her neck in everything.
