No he wasn't on much as he was pretty lucky to still be on the list coming into 2013. He was a big improver and most would like him to stay, we wouldn't offer much though as we need remaining cap for another ruck
He was offered just under 300K at Richmond for one year, while at Port he was offered 850-900K over 3 years- a Richmond poster reported this. Do you not read your own board?

That's pretty good coin, we ll get some good compo for that,
It's marginally above the average wage for an AFL player so I'm not sure about that.

Pearce and Chaplin were the only players to receive end of 2nd round compensation- Pearce is on more than 500K a year, I imagine Chaplin is on similar with your salary cap issues.

The rung below was Q Lynch, Moloney, Rivers and Young, they all received end of 3rd rounders.

Chris Knights, Shannon Byrnes and Tom Murphy were all deemed unworthy of compensation, no doubt largely due to age as well as pay.

I'd probably peg White as fetching an end of 3rd rounder.

Although very unlikely. Would like to see if we could maybe hijack Josh Bruce's move to St Kilda, he's out of contract and both clubs seem to have agreed on something. Not foreign to Adelaide, played for Glenelg before becoming a zone selection.

FA - White
1st rounder - McCarthy
2nd rounder - Bruce trade

Would cover our needs for mine

EDIT: I'm not exactly sure on his worth, 2nd rounder was an assumption

Kenny on the upcoming trade talks (WARNING WARNING Will Robinson...a Rucci article)

PORT Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley will go to AFL trade talks on Monday with a clear strategy:
CLAIM speedy Richmond midfielder Matt White as a free agent - and at no cost to the Power's draft strategy next month.
TEMPT Brisbane to trade midfielder Jared Polec to the Power rather than Adelaide.
FIND a power forward to back-up Jay Schulz, release Justin Westhoff to play an all-rounder role and keep the heat on young forward John Butcher.
KEEP the Power's first-round draft pick.
