There's a part of me that would love to see the Hoff and Jack Watts in the same team. Tactically that would be an awesome combination that would be difficult to cover. So many SA boys at the sharp end of the draft I don't want to see us trading away draft choices this year. The chance to have another SA gun is too good to swap away, and with Cows missing out, we go up one place and hopefully Essendon lose out on draft choices which will mean we will be 2 spots ahead in our Round 2 choice.

I think I mentioned something similar about 30 pages ago. Theoretically I'd love to see Hoff and Watts on the wings together. Not sure how it would work in practice but it's a nice idea. It would also be interesting to see how watts development would go if Hoff mentored him...Watts is an even more gifted athlete than Hoff.

Seeing those guys sneaking forward as marking options, one plays forward, the other on ball rotating and the ability to throw both back if things aren't going your way. The flexibility of having both of them would be incredible.

I'd also like to see us target someone who can kick goals from 55 metres because you pair him with Hartlett it becomes more difficult to counter. Unfortunately they don't grow on trees.

What sort of player is Growden?

(..there have been a few Growdens in the SANFL - with Port and Norwood - over the years, so Im guessing he could be related to one or two of them).

No chance Id say.

Id say we would have been reluctant due to how Daniel and Marlon turned out (admittedly Daniel did play some good games for us, but there were off-field/discipline issues throughout his career).

Funnily enough if Choco was there at the time we probably would have taken him if available.

The thing was anyone that knew any of the motlops had said steven at age 15 was better than any of the others and had a lot more potential.

I'd offer Cooney a contract. Won't be huge $ given injury concerns. But give him a 2 year deal.

I'd love Polec, but don't think we have a chance there.

Again with Day. Not sure what we could offer for those players.

Steven motlop.

We were looking at him and passed, he went one pick after us. Huge mistake.

Out of contract, any chance we can get him?
I think we figured Motlop would be there with our next pick at 42, so we went for Broadbent.

No chance we'd get him. Do you know how many teams are crying out for a guy like him who can break lines with run? He's everything Danyle Pearce wishes he could be.

It's just so sad when we really wanted him and chose not to in hope he'd still be there. It's one of the most frustrating things as a supporter seeing things that afl people clearly miss. However, easy to say as a supporter as there are probably 1000 things we miss that they pick up on. You wonder sometimes if basic instincts can often be better judges than people over estimated and double guessing themselves when they know so much more.

Quite Ironic Motlops a good player, but seriously gives me the shits with his celebrations after goals.
At the start of the season he looked REALLY REALLY selfish as well often leading to a lot of mistakes. I kind of hope as a Port supporter he never turns out to be a star as it just burns us but then i hate wishing bad ills on player's careers.

Jeremy Laidler has been coached by Kenny and Richardson. He has only played one afl game this year. I thought he had a great year two seasons ago. He has had some leg injuries. Apparently he was a forward who became a defender who is being played as a forward again. He would be very cheap. Apart from injuries, I don't know why he hasn't been getting a game for Carlton.

Suns fans have got it in their head that we'll give them a first rounder for Gorringe.

1) Gorringe isn't worth that on the trade table.
2) Rohdey has already stated that he never gets rid of his first round draft picks and never will in the future.
