Didak refused to play for us in the Stevens trade. He can bugga off. As for the butcher debate, I'm not saying I'm right, and happy to be wrong. It's just how I see things now. I was wrong about Lobbe 6 months ago so I got form.

You guys are kidding yourselves if you don't think Didak would make our 22. You don't think he'd get a game ahead of Jake Neade or Kane Mitchell?
I'm sure there are plenty of 30 year olds who'd make our 22 right now, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea to trade them in.

Also, he's a flog.

Alan Didak tweeted today that he wants to extend his AFL career beyond next year. He was also apparently in Adelaide over the week. Interesting ...
If he wasn't guaranteed a spot in the first 22, and had to adjust his attitude, I'd be all for a Monfries/Didak/Gray forward line with them all rotating through the middle.

Also, don't trade him in - pick him up as a free agent. Anyone who is from a premiership winning side will be invaluable while guys like Neade learn their craft.

On the rumour board Didak told team mates he was retiring....is in Adelaide to see a sick friend

Didak personally confirmed that he wants to play on next year on Twitter. I know players don't always tell the truth, but I'm still going to trust what Didak says over what some guy from the rumours board says.

won't play in our next premiership(age), also has constant injuries... strong no from me. Neade/Monfries/Gray rest fwd (best 22) as well as one or 2 of Young/Newton/Ah Chee/other young mids we draft next year. would rather use it on a high risk high reward 18 year old in the 13th round of national draft that may never play a game.

I was thinking he could play more of a Cassisi, Logan type role for a couple of years and help our younger guys through their early years. I do see where you are coming from though.

Well obviously he's missed out on our 2013 flag.

While I agree that you paint the best case scenario for our list, the reality is that half of those guys aren't going to come on unless they are pushed by someone who knows what it takes to be an AFL footballer. We were all calling for Neade to be dropped quite awhile before it actually happened - the main reason it didn't was because we had no-one else to perform his role as the crumbing forward. If Didak can fill that role for a season or two while Neade fills out and gets up to speed, then surely that's worth a spot on our list. It's not like our list is A-grade at the moment. Some parts are, but not all.

I would be over the moon if we were able to swing Growden (DFA), Polec (Trade), Day (for our first round Draft pick) and Goringe (DFA) while holding on to our Third round selection for Jed Redden. We would have selected two very well rated junior midfielders, get another new age Ruckman and add one of the greatest athletes ever tested in an AFL combine!

All four would be upgrades on Thomas, Logan, Hitchcock, Brett Ebert, Salter, Daniel Stewart and Renouff

Nahh, what I was trying to say is I woukd be happy to get young South Aussies into our squad as opposed to using our first round pick (or two)

We have blokes close to hitting their peak and ild want 22 guys within a few years of one and other as opposed to blooding kids over the next two years.

Only needs to be this year where we sit out the early few rounds, back into it next year!
