I do not like how they do not tell us when each team leaves. That's part of the excitement of the race.

I noticed watching yesterday's ep that the shadows in the background got clearly longer for each team

I'd love to see a series where they team up strangers who they know will hate each other and set them free on the world. Now, THAT would be entertaining!

There have been at least a couple of seasons with total strangers that I'm aware of
- one where the first leg was in NY and the order of finishing was the order that they got to chose their partner for the rest of the race
- another where they set people up on "blind dates" for the race

I don't know if they've intentionally paired people up who would definitely not work though
