The exaggeration of the threat posed by antifa cannot be denied. Some are claiming it's motivated by fascists pursuing a fascist agenda. There is that. But IMO the more likely one is the stifling of dissent. Orr notes an anti-antifa bill sponsored by Cruz is far more wide reaching than the Black Bloc.

Those stats are factual, but biased. While lethal right wing attacks are mounting, and antifa are NA, the stats don't account for 'non-lethal' injuries caued by antifa as they do for right wing terrorism.

The right wing stats likely include any attack motivated by racism, anti semitism etc. Whether by a group or, more commonly, a nutter lone wolf. It is a much broader category.

I could counter "Proud Boys have killed less people than communism, so communist supporters (much of Antifa) are the real concern we should be focused on". That's also a BS comparison.

Its a hard position as well, because the lack of stats are not evidence of anything happening.
But for a long time a lack of evidence has somehow been used as evidence.

I think elements of Antifa are definitely increasing in their levels of violent protest.
But I believe it's still in response to the much more dangerous and prevalent right wing extremists.
I think it was 2017 at one protest they were organising to have some men on top of buildings, with rifles.
It's been very serious with right wing extremism for years. And it's starting to become serious with some small elements of Antifa.

If they are true, which they are, why are you all banging on about antifa when rightwing terrorist violence is getting more deadly every year.
