That was just dreadful from England. Fair play to Australia as they played a terrific brand of cricket with flair and skill, but my hopes had risen slightly after the first test. I was aware Australia had under performed in the first test, but they turned it around quickly and we simply wilted !

Lol England. I recorded it because sleep reasons, so I'm watching their innings now. It's amazing watching this without those stupid ads. His business is good because it's a beautiful location. If I demanded a phone type, I'd be out of a job. And Ponting's jumper is an eyesore

1 all with three tests to go. I'm predicting a 2 all test series with 1 test a draw. That has Australia taking home the Ashes.

What are other posters predicting.

It'll get bums on seats if it's 2-2 after 4 tests - England's massive first test victory certainly got a decent crowd at lords

Im predicting edgbaston wont be a dead pitch like lords. Mitch Johnson has his confidence up early in the series, when that happens we rarely lose. I think we will win 2-1. Jimmy Anderson is the only man I could see ruining the party. I think Voges will hit a score or two in this series, he's got what it takes.

If they won convincingly before they can do it again. Notice how the team battered first won easily by making a big score.
Yep winning the toss could be big again.

Has there been any news on how Rodgers is recovering? He didn't look good. And while it's his last test series anyway he has been able to get us through the new ball in each innings. Warner looks on the edge of a big score and the pairing of marsh and Warner opening would put a touch of fear into opposition teams if they can get through the first 10-15 overs.

At least we probably wont see anymore roads this series. That backfired big time completely blunted their attack.

Yeah, this time around it's our bowlers who are swinging it and theirs who need it to seam.

Pitch conditions don't mean much to bowlers who are trying to get you out with swinging yorkers.

3-1. Rain will save them at least once but they'll be mentally gone now and the Aussies have their tails up.

An English friend of mine over a beer in Sydney last weekend told me that he predicted that England will win the first test, the Aussies would bounce back in the second test, the next two will be draws and the final test will involve the wickets been geared to suit England as much as possible.

England have tried the wickets fixing haven't they?

I don't really see how there is any way they can fix the wickets to advantage themselves given that our bowlers are both quicker and swinging it more than the English bowlers. The pitch at Lord's was an absolute road but it didn't matter since our bowlers did the job with swing and pace rather than seam, so the pitch was irrelevant.

Unless they have a couple spinners up their sleeve and plan on serving up a dustbowl. But then we have Fawad Ahmed on tour as well.
