Not sure if this was a cricket match in Bermuda or the UFC

The wicketkeeper has been given a life ban.Could take up soccer with those head kicking skills.....although it was his own teammate he kicked

Hard to tell from the video what started this. Any idea?

Pretty ordinary by England:

http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-pakistan-2016/content/story/938581.html

England, proud member of the Big Three, thought differently. Instead, Hong Kong were used for England's convenience. Not only did they refuse to agree to the match carrying ODI status, amid risible reports that they could not afford to pay the players extra, they preferred to turn it into a 13-a-side practice match, batting first by prior arrangement, the sort of exercise in convenience that has now become a predictable feature of condensed tours with fewer practice matches.

UAE appear to have been going for the draw early in their match against Honkers.

HK made 378 in the first at almost exactly three an over. UAE were bowled out for 181...after scoring at under two an over. Their highest scorer (Patel, 76) was the only guy with a S/R of more than 37.

HK are now 324 ahead with 20 overs left on day three.

These two teams are at the bottom of the table, but UAE aren't going to win from here. Don't know if they'll earn any points if they lose either.

So what is the (s**t) rule for 2019 WC Qualification? The top 8 are automatic, unless one of the traditional top 8 are outside the top 8, then the top 9 are automatic? :drunk:

Ie, even though WI currently sit in 9th, they won't be forced to qualify...leaving one spot for the associate nations to play for?

Well done ICC

Round three of the ICup is underway. Hong Kong and Scotland has had the first two days washed out, but he Dutch will be taking a comfortable first innings lead over the UAE in Abu Dhabi, currently 107 runs ahead with four wicket in hand. I have no idea how Peter Seelaar keeps getting a game though - currently playing basically as a specialist batsman, as there are three other spinners in the team, coming in at no. 7 with an average of 18.

I think the fact that Seelaar is actually Dutch might be playing a part.

Its only under 19s and its only the 50 over game, but Nepal beat New Zealand and are looking (at the time of posting) favourites against Ireland.
Ireland 9/139 after 50, Nepal 2/82 in the 19th

They aren't in the upcoming World T20, but did play in the previous one. Could be a smoky nation for a few years time, if only the ICC hadn't cut the WC.

They only missed this years wt20 because of the earthquake ruined their country practically months before and their heads weren't in the game

Having travelled there in late 2014 it is certainly a popular game at the grass roots level. Lots of kids playing cricket in the streets and parks and lots of cricket on TV. If that can flow through to development at the higher levels I do not know, especially given what I assume would be low level funding issues.
