had no preseason due to injury and was fat when he started the year. dominated the back half and then slimmed right down for the combine which he did well in.
Yeah I did know he was much, much bigger at the start of the year. Like Lance Whitnall big :$

I hope the kid does really well.

That's a huge call. Weitering or Schace (how the **** do you spell his name?)?
KPP's almost never win rising stars. Schache won't see much of the footy at Brissy and may not even play 1's straight away (see McCartin, Boyd, etc), same with Weitering. Their bodies need some time to get bigger and fitter to endure the rigors of AFL football. Weitering a better chance but he is pretty skinny and could get monstered by the big boys early. Will be a fantastic backmen but don't expect too much, too early. It's a midfielders award. Lever was fantastic and didn't get near it. Talia and Hogan are the only winners of the RS since 2002 and neither Schache or Weitering are on Hogans level and Talia had plenty of talent around him to help him through.

Well except this year of course...;):p

Weitering will play round 1 if fit. He'll also see a lot of the ball next season

yeah i know. do not expect Weitering or Schache to be on Hogans level or you'll be disappointed. He's the best key forward prospect in a long long time. An absolute natural. He also had a VFL year behind him before he played AFL which helps heaps.

Some talk we might be keen on Rioli with our first pick - IIRC, he was being mooted in the late teens/early 20s bracket so if that's true, could be a bit of a reach. I'll back our recruiters as they've got a good record with first rounders the last few years but would be an interesting choice.

Maybe we'll have a duo of Rioli's in the coming years.

****. ****. ****.

Shaz is the best prospect on our list IMO but he just can't catch a break. I was hoping his first injury free pre season would set him up to be a lock in our backline, not force him back onto the sidelines.

We'll be picking up Jed Adcock in the draft if he lasts to our late pick. Happy with this, he may be getting on at 29 but we should still get a couple of decent seasons out of him. Has good leadership skills and should fit the style of game we play.

Duncan is having minor foot surgery and will be out for 3-4 weeks. It's close to his Achilles , hopefully not to bad, but not good to hear considering he missed most of last season with a foot injury.

Yep. Been about 3 board threads about it already, can you tell we're all bored :D

So he'll be out of action until early January 2016. Hopefully a quick recovery and not reminiscent of his 2015 foot problems as we missed him badly last season.

He was coming of age before getting injured, was our best player for those 3 or so games leading into that round 7 clash with the swans, hopefully its nothing serious or something that keeps poping up.

some talk he is tanking in interviews :)
he doesn't need to. He won't be taken before your first pick. I guess if he is tanking his interviews he may be available a few picks later at your second pick. The only danger would be Richmond taking him just before your second pick but they are in love with Rioli for some reason.
